In the categories of Heroes, Villains, Games, Movies, and TV, you voted on who reigned supreme. So who won? Let's break down the categories:

Heroes

Winner: Marvel

Villains

Is the Joker more twisted than Doctor Doom? Can Apocalypse hold a candle to Darkseid? Here are the results:

Winner: Marvel

Games

They've both had their share of triumphs. Batman: Arkham Asylum vs. X-Men Legends. And they've both had.. well, less successful forays into the digital realm. Superman 64 vs. Iron Man: The Movie Game, for example.

Winner: Marvel

TV

Which is more beloved, Batman: The Animated Series or the 1990's X-Men Animated Series? Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman or Bill Bixby/Lou Ferrigno's Incredible Hulk?

Winner: DC

Movies

This was the category that was won by a landslide. It pit The Dark Knight vs. Iron Man and Supergirl vs. Daredevil. Who came out the victor?

Winner: Marvel

Overall Winner: MARVEL

Winning four out of the five categories, Marvel came out on top as the ultimate superhero universe as picked by the IGN readers. It was a war valiantly fought by both parties, but it was ultimately the House of Ideas that won the day.

You have a new picture everyday blackwidow lol. Oh ya and there should have been an animated film category, in which DC would have smoked Marvel with ease.

Dc Universe Online and MK vs Dc Universe are also good.
But apart from the MvC series and the X-Men Legends series, what good games do Marvel have?

In fairness it's more of an all round popularity contest as opposed to people genuinely taking the poll questions into consideration.
That said, Marvel do have a larger number of "top level" heroes in my opinion.

Nevertheless though, if you go through lists of greatest graphic novels/comics stories ever written, DC will be outnumber Marvel for sure.

But it's irrelevant, they both rule.
Stan Lee loves Superman and was massively inspired by DC, and Marvel has done it's own thing and grown into a phenom in the industry.

Whatever, most of the characters in both companies are second-tier at best.

Marvel does better at everything. just honestly it does. ultimate spider-man kicked ass. just because DC mustered up one good game doesn't mean it beats marvel's kick ass game list.

I've always been more of a Marvel fan (despite Batman being my favorite character), but I love both Marvel and DC. However, lately, and more because of the bore that is Fear Itself, DC has been winning me over. Marvel seems to have forgotten how to properly handle a character death. Comic deaths don't bother me because I know they'll always come back, but how Marvel has been handling deaths lately really bother me. Bucky, who has been written into a great character, was killed off for no reason. Now, apparently Thor may be dead. Even though he just came back in 2007, and being dead three years prior. Thor is now more popular then ever, and I never really cared for the character until J. Michael Stracynski hooked me with me his run in 2007. I feel like Marvel just does a raffle to see who dies on a given week. The last time a character death struck a chord with me was Steve Rogers at the end of Civil War. I knew he would be back, but it was brilliantly handled. It was sad moment, but a fitting end to the great story that was Civil War. That story, and the aftermath afterwards, it was just a great time to be a Marvel fan. They were taking risks and new directions. But lately, all of the events aside from World War Hulk which was fun, and the Dark Reign period, Marvel has been going through too many events. Say what you will about Stracynski, but now I see why he left Marvel. I just want to enjoy a character's story, and not have to worry about an over-looming event. Marvel seems to be doing shock-value for the sake of shock-value lately. I still love and support Marvel, but they need to get their act together when it comes to stories. I feel Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man has been the most consistent series, Cap being the greatest of the three. Ed Brubaker is such a talented writer. Now with this Tanarus character replacing Thor in The Mighty Thor #8, I'm not so sure. When can we finally see Marvel's Big Three together in a comic for a good length of time without having to worry about one of them "dying" again? Marvel is beginning to lose my attention when it comes to the comics. DC on the other hand, while I was at first skeptical about the Relaunch, is now the thing I'm most excited for. Hopefully Marvel picks up steam again.
