My thoughts on a Worlds finest movie.

My thoughts on a Worlds finest movie.

recently a article with a rumor about a Batman and Superman movie hit our site. These are my thoughts on what they have said about it and what I think should happen.

Sources of the questionable ThinkMcFlyThink site are now claiming that Warner Bros. are quietly developing a "Worlds Finest" film teaming up Superman and Batman. And while the site further claims a Justice League film is lifting off the ground, the site says:

Sources tell TMT WB is keen on getting a Justice League movie going and still high on The Flash despite Green Lantern being neither the critical or commercial success they'd hoped for nor was it embraced by fans. But the studio is also quietly developing a Batman/Superman team-up movie.

Similar to Justice League, the Brothers Warner has wanted to get their two biggest superheroes on the same screen together for years. The closest it came to fruition was Batman vs. Superman with Wolfgang Peterson-directing from a script by Andrew Kevin Walker. That fell apart as we all know, but executives loved that script.

This is incredible. The last time i saw them on the same screen was when Superman was on The Batman in 2007. I am hoping that this is really happening and here are the good and bad things that have been stated.

Good things

1) Two worlds collide
Both Christopher Nolan and Zach Snyder have stated that there Batman and Superman movies are set apart from all other movie verses, making it more complicated to do a JLA film. with this rumor it states

"Essentially, they're hoping they can woo Christian Bale back into the cape-and-cowl for a fourth time and in case the Oscar-winner tells them, "No thanks, I'm done!", they'll go for a new actor altogether. Both versions would feature Henry Cavill's Last Son of Krypton"

If they can get Christian back in the cape and cowl it would be an even more profitable film for the mainstream audiences who recognize this British actor. And with Chris Nolan being the producer of the Henry Cavil Superman film and if he's on with it they can give maybe a few Easter eggs towards Batman or simply just Bruce Wayne.

2) The potential rivalry
The rivalry becoming friendship of Superman and Batman has always fascinated me very much. I think that The rivalry can start with there later ego's with the relationship between Bruce Wayne and Lois. But we still don't know what will happen in The Man of Steel yet. Most likely the only love interest Lois will have is in Superman, but you never know until you see it or the script gets leaked.

3)Christian Bale's word will not be broken
Christian Bale has aid these two things

1. He will not do a movie with robin in it
2. He will only do a movie with Nolan behind it

Nolan is producing The Man of Steel and if in fact this movie is another movie set apart from other films (which most likely is not) and they were to lazy to cast new people then Christopher Nolan might direct or produce this one also.

4) Writing credits
David S. Goyer is writing The Man of Steel, David S. Goyer was behind the Story of The Dark Knight rises The Dark Knight and wrote the Screenplay for Batman Begins with Chris Nolan. Johnathan Nolan hepled write the screenplay for The Dark Knight The Dark Knight rises and The Man of steel. and Christopher Nolan help write the script for the whole Nolan Batman Trilogy and came up with the story for his Batman trilogy and The Man of Steel.

5)No need for number 2 and 4
This could serve as The Man Of Steel 2 or the 4th Batman movie. It could start off with Supe's in Metropolis and Batsy in Gotham. Bruce can go to Metropolis for some business trip or something a conflict happens between Batsy and Supe's another conflict happens behind the scenes and Batsy and Supe's have to work together to save the day. Or something else. If Heath Ledger was alive they'd probably do a direct adaption form the animated film.

Like This

But sadly Heat Ledger died

R.I.P
I don't think they would or they should get a new joker until they reboot the franchise if they do reboot it which leads me to the last topic in the good things

6) A new Bat trilogy from there
This movie could lead into a whole new Batman series. The one bad thing is that Nolan probably won't be in on it so neither will Bale but they still could use another series of movies that have a new director and a new Bruce Wayne/Batman. They could also do sequels to the Batman Superman film like Batman Superman public enemies and Batman Superman Apocalypse.

Bad Things

1) The Mentorship storyline
"In a classic case of covering your ass, what we're hearing is two separate incarnations are being tooled. One version where the World's Greatest Detective is firmly established and helps mentor an up-and-coming, fresh-faced Supes and vice versa. Essentially, they're hoping they can woo Christian Bale back into the cape-and-cowl for a fourth time and in case the Oscar-winner tells them, "No thanks, I'm done!", they'll go for a new actor altogether. Both versions would feature Henry Cavill's Last Son of Krypton."

Mentor-ship? WHAT?

Well that's it.

don't hate just because it's not even official yet i'm just fan-ticizing.

What do you want to see from this film?

if it happens it'll be in about five years.

the dark knight rises 2012

man of steel 2013

worlds finest 2014/2015

i definetly don't want to see bale in it,time to move on from nolan there is plenty of good directors out there you don't need nolan directing every dc movie.

I see this happening around 2015. I think I want to see a World's Finest movie more than a Justice League one. Superman and Batman are my two favorite DC characters, it'd be fun for them to just devote an entire movie to their friendship/rivalry/partnership. I hope they're able to somehow get Bale, but I don't think Nolan should direct. Just produce, at most. Give someone else a shot.

I think a new Bat-trilogy that doesn't neccesarily takje place in the Nolanverse, but does not contradict it would be awesome. A trilogy. New villians! Jason Todd!! Bring it on!!

@ DukeAcureds

i really don't want another batman trilogy unless it follows these rules.

-costume must be like the one from the comic, not another suit of armour it restricts the fighting style.

-more detective work

-different villains i suppose joker will be alright, but try the more different villains i.e killer croc, hush, clayface, harley quinn,mr.freeze & so on.

-no bale anyone who enjoyed that pathetic voice must smoking some good shit,i couldn't take voice for another three films.

-no nolan please there is plenty of other great directors to choose from.

-shared dc universe like marvel has.

I think that bale should stay as Batman because if they go with this mentorship route, the audience would buy it considering they have already formed some kind of connection with bale's Batman.

Nolan was... WAS on the project, he is no longer overseeing The Man of Steel.

The cinematic world of Batman that Nolan has brought to screen is too grounded for a character like Superman and even some others IMO, one way I think this movie could work is if Superman did most of the epic cgi fight scenes and if Batman went undercover like the true detective he is with hand to hand combat with practical effects.

The only Batman film I'm interested in seeing is a Batman Beyonds or The Dark Knight Returns movie. Bale would be great in my honest opinion. Nolan could serve as producer, and bring on a new DC director

Either give me a faithful Batman adaptation or a Batman Beyond. I can't take this 'realism' batman anymore, it's slowly driving me insane!

this is why they need to Reboot BOTH!
AFTER nolans BATMAN is over and after the new superman movie is over depending on hpw many they make for it
they need to REBOOT both that will lead up to BAtman and Superman movie!
