COMICS: First Lettered Preview Of ALL-NEW X-MEN #1 Reveals Why The Past Meets The Present

"I need you to stop yourself from committing mutant genocide." We've seen various pieces of artwork from Brian Michael Bendis and Stuart Immonen's All-New X-Men #1, but this preview of the issue reveals why Beast travels back in time to bring the original X-Men to the present!

It’s a blast from the past as the original five students of Professor X – Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Iceman, Angel and Beast – are plucked from the past and brought to the present. But what they find, the state that their future selves are in and the state of Xavier’s dream, is far from the future they dreamed of. And how will the X-Men of the present deal with their past coming crashing forward?

ALL-NEW X-MEN #1

Hmmm... meh. I hate you Marvel for making Cyclops the bad guy. Oh well perhaps his younger self can make atonement for his future self's sins. Sigh... this is boring me already.

soooo......isn't AvX over and Cyclops is in jail or something?

Or is he still going to be some sort of 'evil' threat to mutants?

Or is it something he is going to do later that leads to the persecution or mutants? I'm confused

Cyclops: "Soooo.....you're saying that, in the future, I'm a bit of a douche?"

Beast: "Yes. In the same way that I am saying that water is 'slightly damp'."

Cyclops: "Am I finally an intriguing character to read and have in a series?"

Beast: "Again, yes. But you are also a big enough douche to make Magneto tell on you."

Cyclops: "Sweet. I'm relevant."

Beast: "And an uber-douche".

Cyclops: "I can live with that".

Looking forward to this one, and anything has gotta be better then Uncanny Avengers... Sad to know that Uncanny Avengers definitely wont be fulfilling my X-Men craving... or any kinda craving for that matter.

Guys, Cyke hasn't committed Mutant Genocide, so its obviously something that Beast thinks WILL happen, thag we haven't seen. Is it that hard to understand?

Cyclops commit mutant genocide? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Bendis sucks, his plots are moronic, his characters are way off, and his dialogue is complete dribble.

Does anyone here know that Cyclops' decent started 6 years ago right?

Marvel didn't pull this out of the blue! Scott's character had been shifting away from "the Dream" for half a decade now.

5 years ago I posted on the marvel board that Scott would be the next Magneto, and I got laughed off the boards, but here we are. He decline has been logical, justified, and quite honestly the most interesting Cyclops I've ever seen.

Can we please just remember how boring and one-noted Scott was prior to this? Everyone hated him cause he was a one-trick pony. BUT NOW, everyone wants that one-trick pony back?!?!

I'm not sold on the Marvel Now, but you know what? I'm gonna READ THEM AND MAKE MY OWN DECISION!

I tell you, if as many people read the books as came on here trolling them, the comic industry would be sky-rocketing!

I don't know why everyone is so surprised. Bendis is one of the loosest writers that Marvel has. Does no one remember the Dark Avengers?

Sentry was a cool, mysterious, scary powerful character. Then Bendis made him literally omnipotent , have him admit he can't die, and then have Thor kill him with a lightning bolt...wtf. Then proceeded to take the bones that were left and chuck them into the sun. Yes, he took the bones of the man with the power of a million exploding suns (or something like that) into the sun, even after he tried to destroy HIMSELF doing the same.

They went behind that and explained in a slick way that he was exhausted and THAT is how he was killed. If he doesn't eat, sleep or even breath, but yet is still alive, [frick]sake if he can reassemble himself at molecular level after being displaced by the MOLECULE man, TWICE, they are expecting me to believe that a jolt of electricty killed him cuz he was tired? Man, Bendis...

The Sentry was overpowered yes, but he had potential for a great explanation to his powers, Bendis just said '[frick] it, I don't like him, Ill just say he's omnipotent and then take him out of the continuity, that way everybody will hate him cuz he can't be beat and wont miss him'.
