USA Today have unveiled the following artwork and details confirming that Matt Fraction will be taking over Fantastic Four and FF as a part of the Marvel NOW! relaunch this November. He will be joined by artists Mark Bagley and Mike Allred respectively.
In Fantastic Four, Mr Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch, The Thing and Franklin and Valeria Richards will all be going on an epic journey together through time and space. Apparently, Reed builds a spaceship which will allow them to take a year long trip through the universe that only lasts four minutes in Earth time. So, what happens if something goes wrong and they don't return? Well, ech member of the team picks a replacement and that's where FF comes in.
Ant-Man (Scott Lang), She-Hulk (Jennifer Walters), Medusa and new character Miss Thing (wearing a suit of armour and described by Fraction as a, "Lohan-esque celebutante blonde") are tasked with protecting the Earth when three weeks later, a one-eyed, one-legged, long-haired, half-insane, bearded Johnny Storm walks through the time gateway, shuts it behind him and says, "We can never open this door again." However, it turns out that Ant-Man has his own agenda and will be using his team to get his revenge on Doctor Doom; the man who murdered his daughter. "It's a dark twist on what the Fantastic Four is about — it's the other side of the coin," Fraction says. "We have this Fantastic Four with a specific mission in FF and how can he direct and bring these people along with him?" More details can be found by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.
