Dr. Christopher Solomon of the British University of Kent analyzed beauty scientifically. His research design basically consisted of 4 steps:

First he had a 100 male another 100 female porosity using a composite sketch software usually used by UK police created one female and another male face they consider perfect i. e. as beautiful as they can imagine.

In a second step some other 100 probands ranked the composite pictures according to how they rate their attractiveness.

In a third step he analyzed the ranked pictures and measured the width of the heads at the height of the eyes and then defined the relative ratio of other items such as distance of the eyes, length of the nose, size of the lips etc. to define the proportions of the perfect face.

Finally he let a computer analyze pictures of celebrities according to how much they match the criteria of the perfect face.
Results say that the most beautiful woman is Thor, Thor the Dark World and V for Vendetta star Natalie Portman followed by Iron Man 2, Avengers and Captain America the Winter Soldier star Scarlett Johansson.
The most beautiful man according to this enquiry is British male model David Gandy followed by Thor star Chris Hemsworth and Guardians of the Galaxy's Bradley Cooper.
