Bit of a strange one this, but certainly worth reporting i think..

Katee "Starbuck" Sackhoff was apparently at Los Angeles based store Golden Apple Comics buying every single comic she could get her hands on featuring "Dardevil" villain Typhoid Mary, in..

"hopes to get a part for a marvel movie."

Wishful thinking or does Miss Sackhoff know something we dont? Im going to be optimistic and lean towards the latter. I think she would make a perfect Typhoid Mary! The character Comic fans will realize right away is the longtime foe (and lover) of Marvel's Daredevil, a mutant with a multiple personality who develops various powers depending on which personality inhabits her at the time. She was created by Ann Nocenti and John Romita Jr., first appearing in their run with Daredevil #254.

There have been rumors of a reboot/sequel to the Mark Stephen Johnson floating around for some time now. Could this be the first signs of something happening? Lets hope so.

I think the first Daredevil had potential, just poorly executed and only made worst by making an Electra movie.

Am I the only one that thought Daredevil was a good movie? The movie did well (if I remember it made over $1,000.000.00 and it came out in February) don't shoot me if I am wrong on the month. It was enjoyable. I didn't like that Jennifer Garner was Elektra ( I am Greek and trust me people SHE AIN'T GREEK MATERIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!)But overall I enjoyed it very much. Don't care if Kingpin was black in the movie. I am just saying as movie goes it was fun and entertaining. I know I am going to get reamed, but it's just my opinion. Looking forward if they are
making a sequel.

apart from some dodgy CGI, i thought daredevil was great (especially the extended cut) i hope this news means a sequel! the story wasnt bad (although i wasnt a big fan of garner or farrel) and actually liked the kingpin (cant remember the actors name). I would love to see typhoid mary and most definitely the return of bullseye but in a costume this time-he did after all tell the kingpin he wanted a costume, lol!

daredevil was good 4 its time. People didnt take movies of this genre seriously then but they still did a good job. Didnt like farrel but everything else was enjoyable.

Well, im in love with them both so i wouldnt care either way!

Like a lot of people, i too thought Daredevil was a great movie..or more accurately, a very good movie verging on greatness. Just a few alterations would have raised it up there. I wouldnt mind a straight sequel either..but i know it wont be the same cast.

Lol MS paint, I think Daredevil would have been better if they had a got a better stunt coordinator, the fights on the wires just looked awful.

OOO! I loved the typhoid stories. This could be great.

Yohon--I hated bullseye. I know you're not supposed to like him, but i actually hated every moment he was on screen.

Or like "Shake and bake" from Talladega. Its supposed to irritate you but it Really irritated me.

it is, but in fairness, theres not many chicks out there with a body like Tricia Helfers. Starbuck has a lovely curvy body though. Frack it, cast them both!..she has multiple personalitys!

THE FIRST ONE WAS OK, BUT AFFLECK, HE JUST WAS WAY TOO STIFF IN THE FIGHT SCENES, IT LOOKED CHOREOGRAPHED..I WANT JASON STATHAM, THAT GUY CAN FIGHT REALLY GOOD, IT WOULD LOOK SO SO MUCH BETTER ON FILM, GET A BAD AZZ FIGHT COORDINATOR AND GET AN FX HOUSE WITH CLEAN REALISTIC CG.

This is a tuffy! I liked the Director's Cut of DD; it was waaaaay better than the first cut.

After seeing it, I appreciated the Actors and their performances a little more. To recast would be a let down, but I'm game if they choose to go that route!

I'm still now getting into the DD books, so it's still too early for me to give an opinion on this casting news. Now I gotta go look for DD comics with Typhoid Mary in them.

The reason why people didn't like Daredevil is because hardly anyone like the actor.

Bullseye was cool. The story was good. Daredevil was blind and a lawyer, Electra died by her out sai,Kingpin was a badass as well as Bulleye and people were talking about Daredevil and Matt been the same.

It had everything the comic has. But, people didn't like the actor. That's what killed it.

I say, change the Ben Afleck and, If she's appearing, give Electra her black hair. that way everything will be fine.


Although I've only seen it once. I dfon't remember it that much. But what I remember it was cool.

Spell check must be broken. Colin Feral sucked, Ben didnt bring it like he could have, Jennifer Garner cant act and looks like a guy. Other then that I liked the movie, because Daredevil was cool.

I just think that all of this talk about typhoid mary is jumping the gun a bit. Typhoid Mary as far as the movies go, was in the dumb elektra movie. As far as comics, she was kinda here and there, but never a MAJOR player. Ben Affleck did a hell of a job as Daredevil considering the other characters he has played and other movie types. I think Ben should come back and be daredevil again, and I think that the movie should be longer, and have move of the kingpin storyline, and maybe some of the other characters. As the great Dennis Miller says: of course thats just my opinion, but I could be wrong.

actually when DD came out Affleck was very popular and the movie was number 1 in the country for weeks. I am a huge DD fan, I've spent mad money on getting my hands on every important DD issue that was released before I was born and as a true DD fan, enjoyed the way Afflect portrayed the character. Months later after the benifer shit started jealous lil fan boys nerds started bashing everything Affleck. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE MOVIE THE TIME IT CAME OUT! sure some of the sfx look dated but it did come out over 6 years ago. I would be perfectly fine with seeing Affleck return

to those that havn't seent he directors cut of daredevil watch it before you call a bad movie... i hated the theatrical... just about walked out of the theatre... but the directors cut was at least good enough to purchase...

and as far as typhoid mary goes... not trying to get anyone too excited here... but she was also part of one hell of a nice deadpool storyline... and i'm kinda expecting to see pool before another DD movie

All they need is for the cast and crew to take it seriously. It came out at a time comic movies were still seen as cheesy. This comes through with the writing, direction and performances. Afleck was a fine casting choice but he didn't pull out a performance he is capable of. It almost felt like everyone involved in the film only gave 50-60% and went into it half heartedly. Colin Farrel was the one who threw himself into it but he was awful. But then I don't like him as an actor. FX wise, you can't really knock it. Yes it looks dated now but at the time it was better than the Spiderman FX.

It was an enjoyable film, not as good as it could have been but then niether was Spiderman. The only difference between them is Spiderman had a sequel that raised the bar for all superhero movies.
