Once Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is released, filmmaker James Gunn will focus solely on building the new DCU for DC Studios.

As well as creatively overseeing all the "Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters" projects, Gunn will helm Superman: Legacy and the Creature Commandos animated series (for starters). Despite being one of the busiest filmmakers in Hollywood today, he still finds time to talk with fans and debunk some big rumours.

For starters, Gunn dismissed a rumoured slate of projects that were said to be on the way. He also confirmed Hellboy star Ron Perlman was never being lined up for a role in Creature Commandos.

The DC Studios co-CEO similarly denied reports about Breaking Bad alum Aaron Paul being lined up to play Booster Gold before laughing off a wild claim he's replacing Zachary Levi's Shazam with a version played by Alan Ritchson.

Perhaps the most surprising debunking, however, is Gunn's sheer level of confusion at claims from directing duo Danny and Michael Philippou that they turned down the chance to work on a DC Studios project! The YouTubers received some attention with their claims but have now come out of this looking pretty foolish.

Take a look through Gunn's Tweets below.
