We're living a golden age for superhero movies, its not news that most of the movie stars would like to join this genre, and now Paul Feig, the "Ghostbusters" director opens up about the possibilities of him joining the superhero movies ship.

During the Deadpool 2 red carpet, Paul Feig talked to Comicbook.com about if he would direct a superhero movie “Yeah! I mean, there’s certain ones that I love, like Iron Man and all that. And there are other ones that I like. But for me, it’s always hard to kind of figure out who to root for, when people have so many superpowers, they can’t get hurt." Feig said.

The director also explained that he likes the humour of the MARVEL antihero, Deadpool, "But that’s what I love about Deadpool is that, it kind of makes fun of all of the things that I go ‘Huh. Maybe we should make fun of that!, It’s just so funny, and Ryan Reynolds just kills it with these things. I know, from Blake Lively, how hard he works on these movies.”

"I loved Wonder Woman, actually! Years ago, I tried to get the rights to it, but Warner Bros. had it."Feig said when he was asked which character would he like to take to the big screen.

And it seems that he likes the film directed by Patty Jenkins "And thank god they let Patty Jenkins do it, because she killed it. Absolutely nailed it. So I don’t know. There’s a few that I’ve danced around a bit.

But after the reception that Ghostbusters had, its hard to know if superhero fans are willing to accept an adaptation brought by him  to the big screen. After DC's new movement of a more director driven studio, maybe he could adapt a DC character  movie.

Which studio would you like Feig joining? Let me know in the comments below!

If he likes Deadpool...he might work well on a Lobo film. Too bad the perfect Lobo is miscast as Aquaman.

He's a better choice for Lobo than Michael Bay.

I don't want this guy anywhere near DC property. Lawd knows what damage he could do.

@JohnGotDaJuice - It's not like it could get any worse at this point...

@Toecutter - There are two genuinely bad DC Films (Suicide Squad and Justice League) that are genuinely bad due to hideous studio interference. The rest are OK at worst. Adding Paul Feig to the mix would unquestionably make everything worse. Especially if he's hired for the rebooted Superman, which I totally see Warner Bros. doing, considering what they have been trying to do to “fix” Suicide Squad and Justice League. You think the DC Films Cinematic Universe is bad now, even though it's not, you will see the definition of unwatchable if Feig is brought aboard.

Gotta give Paul credit for directing “The Dinner Party” episode of The Office. That’s one of my favorite episodes.
