Hugh Jackman is expected to appear in X-Men: Apocalypse and there have been rumblings that he MIGHT show up in Deadpool. However, 2017 will mark the last time the Australian actor plays the fan-favourite mutant, so the chances of a team-up with the Merc with the Mouth are looking slim. Ryan Reynolds however remains optimistic. "I mean who wouldn’t want to spend more time with Wolverine? Hugh and I have such history together. He can’t possibly conform to any sort of leadership role. He always has to be the wild card. So you’d have to have someone like Cable running point on a team like X-Force. I'd love for that to be a next step that we take..."
