We haven't seen Stephen Strange since he was getting to grips with his third eye (between post-credits scenes) and preparing to embark on a new adventure with Clea (Charlize Theron) in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but we now have at least some idea of when we can expect the character's MCU return.
While appearing as a guest on the latest episode of the JW3 Speaker Series, Benedict Cumberbatch revealed that he will be a part of at least one of the "Marvel capers" that are scheduled to film next year.
A third Doctor Strange movie hasn't been officially announced (though we're sure it will be at some point), so we'd say Avengers: The Kang Dynasty would have been the most likely possibility... before the movie's release date was pushed back by almost a full year to May 2, 2026.
With the fifth Avengers movie now unlikely to shoot until 2025, could Cumberbatch be referring to Fantastic Four, perhaps? What about a Blade appearance to set-up that rumored Midnight Sons movie?
The ongoing WGA strike (and possible SAG-AFTRA strike) make it difficult to know for sure which Marvel Studios projects will commence production next year, but be sure to let us know where you think the Master of the Mystic Arts will show up next in the comments section.
