First of all, I've packed a lot of villains into this movie and I created no real plot. I just love the 80's and Spider-Man and hope you can all enjoy the Fancast for what it is!
Eric Stoltz as Peter Parker / Spider-Man
He's got a great look for Parker, Stoltz always played the role of the humble mannered guy who could crack jokes too. The Wild Life is a good example as he was the more sensible one between he and his roommate. It's also worth mentioning that he was the original choice for the legendary Marty McFly in Back To The Future.
Kerri Green as Mary Jane Watson
A great actress in the 80's landing roles in such films as The Goonies and Lucas she was known for being a red haired beauty!
Elisabeth Shue as Gwen Stacy
Shue was used to being cast as the good girl so she could work with this easily. She played noteworthy supporting female roles in the Back To The Future sequels as well as The Karate Kid which is what helped me picture her for this role!
Robert Downey Jr. as Harry Osborn
RDJ may not have gotten his major box office success until these last few years when he dawned another Marvel suit himself but I'll be damned if he didn't deserve it! Back in the 1980's Downey would pop up in plenty of roles and get total critical acclaim! Playing the rich pretty boy in things such as Weird Science but also playing deep roles in movies such as Less Than Zero he showed great range and proved he had bucket loads of talent!
Josh Brolin as Flash Thompson
Brolin today is known as one of the greatest actors going! Back then he was mainly known for playing the brother in The Goonies. He had no problem acting like a muscled up jerk to his brother's friends back then, and had a good size for a jock like Flash!
Katharine Hepburn as Aunt May
Considered by many to be one of the greatest actress ever Hepburn was once known for being a beauty but in the 80's she embraced playing the older woman with movies such as Grace Quigley.
Jason Robards as Uncle Ben
I've really only seen Jason Robards in Dream A Little Dream but I love that movie and while Robards showed he could be a hardass in that he also had no problem showing he could be a caring character more so making a great fit for Peter's legendary Uncle.
Leslie Neilson as Captain George Stacy
When most see Leslie Neilson the first thing that comes to mind is comedy, sure, he's a comedy legend! He also did movies such as Prom Night back then however showing he could serious as well. A truly great actor.
Charles Bronson as J. Jonah Jameson
Charles Bronson was a badass all his life, he may have been getting too old for the action roles around this time but he would have no problem playing a character that was supposed to bring fear to Peter!
Kelly Preston as Black Cat
Kelly Preston was one of the biggest babes of the 80's! She had a great body that would fill out the suit and was known for playing the vixen role!
Crispin Glover as Electro
How can one hate Crispin Glover? He was always a fantastic actor with roles such as Marty McFly's dad in Back To The Future and shined as the most memorable victim in Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter there was always just something about him. His role in River's Edge comes to mind to make him seem like a good fit for Electro to me.
Dolph Lundgren as Rhino
Lundgren was known for playing roles based on his size, most notably the Russian Drago in Rocky IV which gave him instant success! He was made to play giant destructive machines like Rhino.
Rob Lowe as Morbius
One of the hottest commodities of the 80's, Rob Lowe could play the distraught role and that's really how I've always liked to picture Morbius. Lowe may not have the foreign side to him but I don't see that as too big of a deal. He does have the hair... that's got to count for something, right? Lol
Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Curt Connors / The Lizard
Goldblum was always perfect in the scientist role! Weather it be The Fly or Jurassic Park which would come a few years later. In The Fly he was able to play a role very similar to The Lizard turning from scientist to a creature. Goldblum was also excellent in movies such as The Big Chill and Into The Night as well.
Val Kilmer as Eddie Brock / Venom
Kilmer showed he could be a dick and antagonist in Top Gun, later played the dark Batman, and while it doesn't help him with this character he even showed he could be a fun party guy in Real Genius. Kilmer was simply a great actor and could play Eddie Brock for sure.
Anthony Hopkins as Norman Osborn / Green Goblin
Anthony Hopkins is one of the worlds most celebrate actors! He could certainly play the sadistic and sick character of the Goblin as later years he played the iconic Hannibal Lector!
