This is my first DC fancast, and who better than the only DC character I like. Batman, I understand that some choices maybe considered weak but hear me out.

Zac Efron as Bruce Wayne/Batman



I know I'm gonna get hate for this but hear me out, Ignore his High School Musical past. Efron is a damn good, strong actor, watch 17 Again and The Lucky One. I feel that is all the proof you need to show why he can play Bruce Wayne. Plus he is buff for the most part so I feel he could play Batman as well.

Sir Ian McKellen as Alfred Pennyworth



This man is such a great actor, if there is one thing that the original films and the remake did right is cast the perfect Alfred(s) and I feel he is another one.

Denzel Washington as Lucius Fox



He would make an awesome Lucius Fox, face it. He is such a great actor.

Rachael McAdams as Vicki Vale



I know I use her alot, but to me she is just an absolutely beautiful woman and insanely good actress plus I think she'd have good chemistry with Efron.

Ryan Gosling as Harvey Dent



Ryan Gosling is such a great actor and I feel he would make an awesome Harvey Dent and possibly a damn good Two-Face in a sequel.

William H. Macy as Commissioner Jim Gordon



I think he's the perfect Jim Gordon next to THE perfect Jim Gordon, Gary Oldman.

Josh Hartnet as Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow


I think Josh Hartnet is a great actor and very under rated and he needs a big role to really show his ability and I think something like this could really boost him.

Adrien Brody as Ra's al Ghul



He is a very strong and straight laced actor and I think he could pull something like this off.

John Cusack as The Joker



I know there would be some odd choices and this is one of them. But for some reason when I was trying to come up with people good for the role, I was really struggling then I came to John Cusack and his movie The Raven and I know he plays the good guy but it just seemed right.

Whatya think? I was thinking I post more for a Batman Sequel fancast. Any suggestions or friendly advice. Just state them below and remember to be respectful.

I recently saw Charlie St. Cloud, and while I couldn't stand it, I see that Efron is pretty good by now, indeed. Despite that, however, I'm yet to be able to accept him in any CBM role; not even someone like Iceman, let alone Batman! No, thanks for that. He's too young to start off (well, he's 24, but he still looks like an 18 year-old guy to me), among the many other reasons.

The rest are pretty good, though; I like William H. Macy as Gordon, Josh Hartnett does need a CBM role and Scarecrow may fit him, and Cusack should be able to make an interesting Joker. Another weak point is on Adrien Brody; I just can't see him as Ra's. (Can't see him being the Joker or Scarecrow - two roles that people commonly pick him for - either.) That's all; still, nice job overall. :)

I was just trying to make for a different fancast in some sense while still picking good actors for the roles. Although my favorite one I picked was Gosling as Harvey Dent, he just seems like a Harvey Dent to me. Damn good actor too.

Personally speaking, I think Hartnett could b an interesting Batman...

I want James Caviezel for Bats (he essentially plays Batman on Person of Interest).



Anyway, put more time and effort into your casts. It looks like you just drawed names out of a hat for your picks.

No offense, but Efron is the worst choice for Batman that I've ever seen.
Rest of the cast is pretty good though.

Batman: I like Zac Efron. I think he is a talented actor, but I don't see him as Batman. He would be perfect as Spiderman but not bats. I want Jeffrey Donovan to be Batman.

TwoFace: Ryan Gosling is a good actor but I don't see him as twoface. I would cast Thomas Jane.

Ra's Al Ghul: Adrien Brody is wrong for this role. I would cast Oded Fehr.

Joker: I like John Cusack but I can't see him as Joker. I think Michael Sheen would make the perfect Joker.

William H Macy is a perfect choice for Gordon.

Harvey Bullock: Donal Logue.

I would like to see John Cusack as the Riddler myself! Just his line delivery and manner of speaking screams Riddler to me! Definitely Jim Caveizel or Jeffrey Donovan for Bats! Love those picks as stated above! I like Sir Ian McCellan as Alfred, but fear that by the time this movie became it's own franchise, he'd be dead lol

Efron gets a bad rap because of the shitty romance and "High School Musical" movies he's been in, but yeah I think he's got some talent. I'm looking forward to The Paperboy.

I don't see him as Batman though.

@nowtheresaBATman Thanks! Caviezel isn't old enough for a Dark Knight Returns Batman. I'd go with either Michael Keaton or Bruce Greenwood. Gosling would be pretty good as long as they dye his hair black.

@nowtheresabatman: I'm not offended by any of the comments. I knew I was gonna get backlash from my Efron pick, I was having a hard time picking the right Bruce Wayne and I knew that Efron could play the Bruce Wayne part of it, and I completely get why they don't like him as Batman because he doesn't seem like he could pull something like that off. Overall, I was really thinking about who could play what roles and I was really struggling and trying to pick the best and most realistic and different choices I could think of. I personally think the weak points for me are Joker and Batman.

You have got to be joking about Efron, he shouldn't be in any movies because he is a shitty actor. the rest of the cast has some decent choices in it. John Cusack as The Joker would be interesting he is a great actor and I think he would do it good.

No more reboots!

They should just continue the story with older and more experienced Batman.
James Caviezel would be perfect Bats and Jon Hamm Harvey Dent.

I don't have a problem with Zac Efron as an ACTOR, but just not as Batman, he's TOO pretty boy. Ppl say Ryan Gosling is pretty boy but thats just cuz he's blonde, take it from a girl Zac really is just to pretty boy for Bats.
Anyway, Batman & Alfred are a no. The rest are great! I love you Two face pick, I think he'd be great in the role.
