New Captain America Casting Suggestion

Hey, everyone! I know I've been lobbying for Garrett Hedlund for Captain America in the live-action adaption of the comic, but on a post the other day SHAMAN opened my eyes so check out who in my opinion is the best choice for good ol' cap.....

So, here it is, the guy we all love as Eomer from LOTR, Bones from Star Trek, And Lord Vaggo from The Chronicles Of Riddick...

Karl Urban is Captain America. No contest.




I think he is the perfect choice for cap he has the commanding voice and presence that cap will need to be in the avengers and he can act his ass off also he has the look if you dye his hair blonde but anyway let me know what you think in the comments.

I think they should choose someone a NEW FACE. An unknown actor, that cana ctor has the look, and can attract all sorts of ppl. Not just the comic fans, videgame lovers, but also chicks and people that dont even know who captain america is and because he appeals to everyone they want to go watch it because their interested in seeing his acting.

I am going to be honest here and say that I like Ackles as an actor but I just dont think he can pull off Cap. I honestly think it should someone that has talent but has a large build. Someone that looks like a war soldier and not a pretty boy.

No way, i like Urban but not for Cap! Jensen Ackles is my top choice but i wouldnt mind having...

Yeah, i would honestly NOT say NO to Urban!!! He's actually one of the rare non-americans that kinda does look american. He'd sell the role to all of us without breaking a sweat. Jensen Ackles is still the "BEST" choice for the role but Karl Urban is my close second :))

Josh, I think your on to something with Patrick Wilson. He was the star of Watchmen in my opinion. He deserved an Oscar for that movie.

You have given me something to think about... did LOVE him as Bones in Star Trek; stole damn near every scene he was in and his McCoy was just... uncanny. Tribute but not, impersonation but not... loved it! He has got the intensity and acting chops to play the leader of the Avengers... definitely something to chew on while we all wait on casting. Still like Aaron Eckhart and Mark Valley, since I'm not sure a babyface actor will bring the intensity of the Ultimates/WWII Cap OR be able to stand up to/lead Robert Downey Jr., Sam Jackson and potentially Ed Norton? Still, they did cast a virtual unknown in Chris Hemsworth to play Thor, so who knows?

billy zane is a good actor but karl urban blows him out of the water imo he owns every role he is in i mean he was the only good thing about doom, he embodied eomer perfectly, his character in riddick was amazin, and he owned the screen as bones in star trek....thats why i pick him because he dominates a scene which is what is needed for captain america

anil you are right about everythin you just said the only thing that keeps leo from bein a top notch choice for me is his voice cap needs to have a deep and commandin voice that just brings a presence and makes you listen to him thats why i say karl urban is the best choice cause while hes not as good of an actor as leo hes very good and he just dominates a scene...when he speaks i imagine thats how caps voice is

I suggested Garrett Hedlund in the poll, I thought I was alone...I didn't notice anyone else who was adamant about him being Cap. Most people could only see him as Bucky.

Karl Urban is an interesting choice but I don't think he fits the role, I'm still going with Garrett Hedlund.
