George R. R. Martin Has A Rather Rude Message For Impatient Fans

Many fans have wondered if A Song of Ice and Fire author George R. R. Martin will ever get round to finishing his fantasy saga. Well, it turns out he has a message for them and it's not particularly nice. Don't look if you're easily offended.

There has been a bit of speculation amongst fans regarding whether or not George R. R. Martin will get round to finishing his epic fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire before he dies, and finally he has addressed the issue head on.

Asked by Swiss news outlet Tages-Anzeiger about the worries of fans, Martin had this to say - "I find that question pretty offensive, frankly, when people start speculating about my death and my health, so [frick] you to those people". Just to hammer home the point, Martin proceeded to give the middle finger to anyone thinking such things.

This is is not the first time Martin has reacted angrily to fans either having written in the past; "Some of you are angry that I watch football during the fall … some of you hate my other projects … some of you don't want me attending conventions, teaching workshops, touring and doing promo, or visiting places like Spain and Portugal or Finland. More wasting time, when I should be home working on A Dance with Dragons. After all, as some of you like to point out in your emails, I am 60 years old and fat, and you don't want me to [die before completion] on you and deny you your book."

Since writing that, Martin has completed A Dance with Dragons and is now working on the sixth entry in the series The Winds of Winter which is as yet, without a release date.
