We don't have a whole lot to go on here, but since we're still very much in the post-holiday news slump, we'll take what we can get!
Speculation is mounting that The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus may have been cast, or is in talks to play the Marvel Cinematic Universe's rebooted take on Ghost Rider. The online buzz began when "insider" Charles Murphy Tweeted that Marvel Studios has been in talks with an actor - not fan-favorite pick Keanu Reeves - for the role, and it would be a very exciting choice if they deal were to be finalized.
Fans immediately began to share their own theories, and Reedus liked several Tweets calling on him to don the mantle of the Spirit of Vengeance in The MCU. Again, this is a bit of a reach, but it is an interesting casting possibility to ponder.
As for which iteration of the flame-headed hero we might see when he does eventually tear his way into the MCU, rumors have indicated that it will not be Johnny Blaze or Robbie Reyes (who have featured in the previous Ghost Rider movies and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., respectively), which still leaves Danny Ketch, Alejandra Jones, Kushala or perhaps even an all-new incarnation of the character.
What do you guys think? Would you like to see Reedus suit-up as Ghost Rider? If not, who would be your ideal pick? Drop us a comment down below.
