Following reports, or rather hot rumors, that Chris Pine is being linked to the Green Lantern role in the standalone reboot and Justice League movies, fan artist BossLogic has returned to Twitter with an awesome look at the Star Trek star as The Emerald Knight. Utilizing a poster from Pine's best known role in the aforementioned space opera franchise reboot, the artwork can be seen below. Anyhow, the character Hal Jordan (or possibly John Stewart) is expected to appear in Zack Snyder's The Justice League Part One and Part Two on November 17, 2017 and June 14, 2019, respectively, before he flies solo (again) in The Green Lantern movie on June 19, 2020. What do you think?

Pretty cool...but why'd they make the mask look like a damn beak?

Oh, and Hal Jordan sucks, right Gus?

That's really cool, I'd actually be OK with it if it looked like that (at least, the mask and the eyes and ring). Think it'd be better maybe if the mask went around the nose rather than coming to a point at the bottom (a bit too 'Batman' for my liking) but it's still a really cool design/concept, and definitely the way to go in a movie; especially in comparison to that rubbish CGI version they went with last time.

Cool stuff. Also kind of convinces me Chris Pine would be a cool Hal.

I don't care whether they go with Hal or John, all that matters is that they get Bryan Cranston to play the role.

I'd rather see John Stewart on screen.

I'm impressed that BossLogic still hasn't been hired by one of these studios... This is what he does for free, now imagine what he could do with a budget!

I like it. Hopefully WB has learned their lesson and decides to go with a practical suit with cgi enhancements instead of fully cgi.

Love the art... But Chris Pine always looks like he's been punched staight in the lips!

I'd still like to see a Kyle Raynor version of GL. Not Guy Gardner though. Forget about ever bringing Guy Gardner to screen.

I'm pretty sure Gusto is in witness protection right now and that's why he's not commenting.

Either that or he's bond and gagged in black leather because Mistress Phoenix forgot about him.

He's got the chops as well as the look for Green Lantern. It's almost not fair to get someone that spot on for Hal Jordan's personality

If this is true another great actor joins the DCCU, WB really gets good quality actors plus they have all the rights.

They really need to do without the mask, especially while in space where his secret identity is irrelevant

Chris Pine is brash, but give me the hardened megalomaniac played by Jon Hamm. Then again, just give us John Stewart and introduce Hal in Sinestro Corps War solo film.

@charlie2094 I'm with you, this really needs to happen, he would be the perfect Hal Jordan, a mixture of badass and comedy well balanced.

TheRaven20 - 3/12/2015, 8:41 AM
Just wait Chris Pine will be rumored but then they'll cast Michael Cera or some indie teenage star like Ansel Egort both who may be good actors but completely wrong for the role. Or even better they'll cast some buff dude who can't act but hey it will atleast make Green Lantern "badass"
