IGN TV report that the first details on the recently announced animated television series will be revealed at the upcoming New York Comic Con. Here is an excerpt from their report:
"Executive producer Bruce Timm -- already a legend when it comes to DC Comics adaptations, thanks to Batman: The Animated Series -- will be on hand to discuss what to expect from Green Lantern: The Animated Series, joined by producer Giancarlo Volpe (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) and producer/story editor Jim Krieg (Ben 10: Alien Swarm)." Green Lantern: The Animated Series panel will be held on Saturday, October 9th at 2:30-3:30pm in Room 1A14 at New York Comic Con.
Green Lantern: The Animated Series was officially announced earlier this year and will be animated with CGI. The live-action adaptation starring Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, with Mark Strong, Peter Sarsgaard, Blake Lively, Tim Robbins, Jon Tenney and Angela Bassett will be released in theaters on June 17, 2011! A direct-to-DVD film will also be released that month to coincide with the movie.
