New Details On Thanos' Role In GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Reveal STAR WARS Similarities
Some new details have emerged about exactly how much of Josh Brolin's Thanos we'll see in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy, and it sounds as if the director has turned to The Empire Strikes Back for inspiration! We also have new information on the villain's quest for the Infinity Stones...
Vulture have revealed some new details about how much we'll see of Thanos in Guardians of the Galaxy, and the reason that Josh Brolin is only providing his voice (instead of both that and motion capture) for the James Gunn helmed movie may have become clear. According to the site, he will appear in the first act via hologram - similar to Emperor Palpatine in The Empire Strikes Back - and that will be how he seen for the majority of his time on screen, with his only actual physical appearance taking place in a scene with Ronan the Accuser and Nebula. However, despite Thanos' brief screen time in Guardians of the Galaxy, "Characters reference him often and fearfully." They go on to add that the Infinity Stone in this movie is the Power Gem, leaving us in the dark as to what Thor: The Dark World's Aether was exactly. Hopefully that will all become clear, especially now that's it's in the possession of The Collector! What do you guys think about these latest details?
