In April, Bleeding Cool spotted casting calls for Guardians of the Galaxy that began with the phrase "Marvel super hero film." After those casting calls were posted online they were quickly rephrased so that they removed language that clearly stated which production they were from. Since then casting calls that appear to be for GOTG have been a bit harder to spot. But I've matched key phrases and dates, and confidently believe the casting calls below are for James Gunn's film.
Starting Something Secret - For a new Feature Film about a secret society, we are looking for males to play the founders of the society. You must be male aged between 18-27yrs. You must have at least two inches of hair all over your head. You must have easy access to London.
Filming will take place on either Mon 1st, Tues 2nd, Wed 3rd or Thurs 4th July. You must be available on all dates to apply. You must also have good availability for a fitting which be one day of the week 3rd-7th June.
Looking tough - For a new feature film, we are looking for unkempt mean looking males and females to play prisoners. You must be between 18yrs and 60yrs old. PLEASE UPLOAD PHOTOS SHOWING YOURSELF UNKEMPT AND MEAN LOOKING i.e. false teeth, scars etc. You must have easy access to Longcross Studios.
Filming dates are still to be confirmed but will be taking place between the end of June and end of September.
Tallest of the Ladies - For a new Feature Film, we have an opportunity for tall females over 6 feet. You must be female with a Height of 6 feet or taller. You must be a Dress Size 6-12. You must have easy access to Longcross Studios.
You must be available for filming on all the following dates: July - Tue 2nd, Wed 3rd, Thur 4th, Fri 5th, Mon 15th, Tue 16th, Wed 17th, Tue 23rd, Wed 24th, Thur 25th, Fri 26th and Tue 30th July. August - Fri 9th, Sun 11th, Mon 12th, Tue 13th, Wed 14th, Thur 15th and Fri 16th August. September - Wed 4th, Thur 5th, Fri 6th, Mon 9th, Tue 10th, Wed 11th and Thur 12th September.
High End Ladies - For a new feature film, we are looking for females to play high end ladies of the night. You must be female aged between 18yrs and 35yrs old. You must be 5 feet 6inches or taller. You must be between a dress size 6 to 10. PLEASE UPLOAD ANY MODELING PHOTOS YOU HAVE. You must have easy access to Longcross Studios.
You must be available for filming on Wed 4th, Thur 5th, Fri 6th, Mon 9th, Tue 10th, Wed 11th, Thur 12th, Mon 16th, Tue 17th and Wed 18th September.
Shaving it all Off - For a new Feature Film, we have a variety of opportunities for females who are willing to shave their head. You must be female. You must be willing to fully shave your head. Females of all sizes and body shapes may apply.
The exact dates for filming will depend on the specific role that you are chosen for.
Calling Oriental Ladies - For a new Feature Film, we are looking for Oriental Females. Your must be female with a Height between 5ft4inches and 5ft6inches. You must be of Oriental descent (Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean, etc). You must have easy access to Longcross Studios.
You must be available for filming on Mon 15th, Tue 16th, Wed 17th, Mon 22nd, Tue 23rd, Wed 24th, Thur 25th, Fri 26th and Mon 29th July. You must be available on all dates to apply.
