RUMOR: New Details For GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY And CAPTAIN AMERICA 2 Surface
Mainly revealing a comic-accurate base of operations for Guardians of the Galaxy, and more, new plausible Marvel details have surfaced also for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Check them out!
The guys at Joblo have posted a handful of Disney movie scoops, with some notably surrounding Marvel's upcoming ventures. Dropping details about the base of operations for Guardians of the Galaxy, the report also affirms a bit of speculated news on Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Moving along, despite actor John C. Reilly recently boarding the James Gunn-directed film as Rhomann Dey, it seems the Universal weapon-wielding character known as Ronan The Accuser will still be a main villain in Guardians of the Galaxy. And the mad Titan Thanos will indeed "play a large role in the overall scheme of things." More interestingly, the report goes on to reveal that the Guardians will "operate out of their base of operations, called Knowhere, a space station with the ability to teleport throughout the universe." This location, which has been described as an "inter-dimensional crossroads and scientific observatory," is located inside the decapitated head of a floating Celestial in the comics. Also on the Marvel front, Joblo says Captain America: The Winter Soldier is basically a "sequel to The Avengers and plays the biggest role leading into The Avengers 2." Plus, with Scarlett Johansson having a leading role in the 2014 sequel, it's no surprise the film will "go more in-depth on Black Widow’s back story and gadgetry." What do you think?
Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker, Ophelia Lovibond, John C. Reilly, Enzo Cilenti, Lee Pace, Karen Gillan and Glenn Close with Benicio Del Toro, Guardians of the Galaxy is written & directed by James Gunn, and is set to be released in theaters on August 1, 2014.
