We Will Get Our First Look At GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY During The Super Bowl

We know we're getting something new from Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but word is that Disney are looking to acquire another Super Bowl 2014 spot to showcase our first official look at their Marvel space-adventure, Guardians Of The Galaxy.

Nothing set in stone here, but Screen Crush have updated their Super Bowl movie spot list with a report that Disney/Marvel are trying to get a third trailer in there, which would likely feature our first (official) glimpse of footage from Guardians Of The Galaxy. The site reckon that Disney are "actively trying to acquire a third spot during the 2014 Super Bowl, with speculation that they will use that time to publicly reveal the first Guardians of the Galaxy trailer." The other two spots will go to Need For Speed and of course, the Captain America sequel. Short of any sort of conformation of this beforehand, we'll find out for sure when the 2014 Super Bowl airs on FOX at 6pm on February 2.

UPDATE: Several outlets have confirmed that we'll see a GOTG Super Bowl spot.

Need for speed is Disney, GOFT is Marvel. They handle their own affairs. Nothing to do with Disney at all.

I just want Star Wars news. GOTG is not Disney's Star Wars, Star Wars is DIsney's STar Wars!

I really don't know why but this new franchise does not grab my attention. I am not saying that it will be good or bad but it is just not interesting for me. Episode VII in the other hand... that should be the space movie of this generation

ok,so i read the screencrush article, it says that the spot would be an expensive buy and the only film on their 2014 slate that an expensive buy makes sense for is guardians of the galaxy

Besides it will be very difficult for me to spend some money in this when Planet of the Apes, JUpiter Ascending, THe Rock's Hercules, Ninja Turtles and Sin City are all around it. Even Jane's Got a Gun may be worth watching.

Probably my money will go the Apes, Watchowskis, Turltles & SIn City. IN that Order.

@ezio I was talking about watching the movies not about the superbowl adds

@Bravado Still I can't explain it but I am hyped, as well as many people that hated the prequels. I particulary enjoyed some parts of them, for example no matter how many mistakes they have one cannot say that didn't enjoy the final duel Kenobi/SKywalker at EPisode III, even if Anakin's development to that point was awful.

They could just go ahead and release the Leaked Comic Con trailer. Easy and cost effective because its only 30 seconds...

(Mark Hamill Joker) "Dance puppets dance! HAhahAhahHhaha!"

Just fooling, but I was just talking to one of my good friends from high school about this film and when I actually sat down to name the villains set to appear within this film I couldn't help but get excited myself. There's 5 villains set to appear in this movie! Whoa!

You nerds have no idea how Marketing works. Look, I get it, y'all want to see footage for GOTG and so do I! But it would be a waste of their money, since it's not coming out till august, the hype generated would die Dow too quickly. You'll get the first trailer around Cap 2, then probably around June we will get our first tv spot. and it'll start ramping up by late June!

Educate yourself people, and stop being demanding fan boys!

@Batmaniac

Agreed! I think the prequels get wayyy too much hate! I'm looking forward towards buying the entire series on Blu-Ray after they all release!
