Ron Perlman Demands Guillermo del Toro To Make Another Hellboy Film

Ron Perlman, who starred in the previous two Hellboy films, has come out today and said "Del Toro owes it to the world". Read on for more!

Ron Perlman recently sat down with IGN to discuss his new film Pacific Rim. While chatting about the film, obviously Hellboy was brought up. Ron had a lot to say on the topic of a third film:

"[Del Toro and I] both walked away from 'Hellboy 2' agreeing that there would never be another one," he says. "But, with the passage of time, it became clear to me that he really always designed it as a trilogy. [Guillermo] has a very well-articulated idea of what the resolve would look like and it's amazingly theatrical and is epic in scope and would make for amazing cinema, with or without the first two movies."

While the first two Hellboy films could be considered a success (First film made $99 Million, while the sequel raked in $160 Million), Ron has been very hopeful about a third and final film.

"I said [to Guillermo], 'You owe it to the world to finish this trilogy,'" Perlman continues. "I've been giving him Jewish guilt."

So what do you think? Do you want to see another Hellboy film? I know one CBM user who would be extremely delighted with this news. In fact, I think we all know him. Comment below and let me know if you want to see a third and final Hellboy film.

You can catch Ron Perlman in his new film Pacific Rim which opens on July 12th in 2D & 3D.

Mignola's a tight-arse who doesn't realise that Del Toro's actually on the same wavelength as him, and wants to constantly jeopardise production because he thinks his work is being "butchered" while it's just being improved.

Hellboy 1 was a classic.

Hellboy II the golden shower was a shambles and it felt like a poor relation.

....Plus it had that guy from Bros in it.

Hellboy movies are great.
He's a cool original character & both the comics the films are handled by solid creative teams.
We need a third one way more than Transformers bullshit.

While I never found these movies to be overly amazing, they have been extremely unique amongst other movies released and I always had a very entertaining ride, even though I failed to care too much about most of the characters. I'd definitely love for them to finish the series, but would I see it in theaters..? Hmmm... I dont know.

I would love to see another Hellboy. I fell in love with the 1st and I refrained from the 2nd for so long because I heard it wasn't as good. I decided to watch it, and it wasn't as bad as expected. They should definatley make this into a trilogy and bring back Kroenen

I have a feeling that if Del Toro doesn't start soon, Perlman will do like Thomas Jane and make his own Hellboy short on his own money.

As long as it doesnt include Hellboy´s twins and Hellboy´s stupid ass attitude from the second film.
I mean seriously he was like a big [frick]ing kid the whole movie.
Make it more like the first one. Only with bigger action sequences. Both the drama and fun parts have to be in balance.
