It was all-but confirmed after Sigourney Weaver mentioned that she wouldn't be the only original cast member returning for Ghostbusters 2020 in a recent interview, but Dan Aykroyd (Ray) and Ernie Hudson (Winston) have now made it official.

Aykroyd confirmed his involvement on the Joe Rogan Experience, while Hudson actually revealed that he's currently shooting the movie while recording a personalized message for a fan - in full uniform.

It's assumed that Bill Murray will also be back as Peter Venkman, but we haven't had any official word on that yet. During his interview, Aykroyd mentioned that they were "hoping" Murray would sign up. and director Jason Reitman has previously confirmed that the legendary actor has read the script, at least.

Ghostbusters 2020 will also star Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace as the central family of the story. The sequel is set to be released on July 10, 2020.

Jason Reitman's hit or miss, but Carrie Coon was a great choice to lead this. She was incredible in The Leftovers

Hope it's better than the last one. No offense to the ladies but that pic was just horrible.

The 2016 remake was on FX a couple days ago, so I watched about half of it. What a lazy, derivative, dumpster-fire of a movie. There’s nowhere to go but up.

There was never a doubt in my mind Dan Akroyd and Earnie Hudson would be in it. Now, about that other guy...
