SPOILER: New International GHOSTBUSTERS TV Spot Features An Appearance From A Very Familiar Face
This new TV promo for Paul Feig's Ghostbusters reboot spoils one of the much-discussed cameos, and they manage to work in the original movie's tagline while they're at it. Click on to check it out...
How much of a spoiler this actually is is debatable considering the fact that the Ghostbusters marketing team decided to feature it in a TV spot, but regardless, this brief promo gives us a glimpse of Dan Aykroyd's (Ray Stanz in the original) cameo appearance. He plays a cabbie who pulls up to Kristen Wiig's character before uttering the famous line: "I ain't afraid of no ghosts".
I'm sure I don't need to prompt you guys to share your thoughts on this in the usual place.
Erin Gilbert (Wiig) and Abby Yates (McCarthy) are a pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real. A few years later Gilbert lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia University, but her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia. Gilbert reunites with Yates and others when ghosts invade Manhattan and she and her team have to save the world.
Ghostbusters hits theaters on July 15.
