Jon Favreau's interview with ET at the premiere for I Love You Man... This is what he had to say:

To Entertainment Tonight -

Favs: The week Iron Man came out was the week I was shooting this film [I Love You Man] so it was a busy week. We are shooting Iron Man 2 in three weeks, we start shooting, we're rehearsing now. Our main cast is all lined up, everbody's deals are signed. Marvel's about to make some announcements and I think everybody is going to be happy when they hear who we got and we're just working really hard to get this movie ready for next summer.

ET: We hear Mickey Rourke, we hear Scarlett Johansson.

Favs: Well, I hear Mickey's been in Russia doing research for a role, I can confirm that, we haven't made any official announcements yet. But I will say there is a Russian villain in our film. Scarlett is somebody I've been wanting to work with for a while, she's a great actor, we've been talking for a while and we haven't announced anything yet but I'll tell you she hadn't screen tested or anything but I met with her and hopefully we'll be getting everything settled so we can make some announcements this week.

Sounds like the stew is cooking.

Wow Supermike you've crossed the line this time lol :) I am really looking forward to this knew wave of marvel films and I think the Avengers is going to be the ultimate nerdgasm. Iron Man 2 should be great. I'm really keen to see some Scarlet footage as the Black Widow as while she is not somebody who I would of thought of for the role I am interested to see what she does with it!!!

Lansdowne5- Well that's what showbusiness is all about. It ain't "show-friends" it's showbusiness. Same thing goes with Terrance Howard. One day he's the bomb, the other he's an over payed hack and replaced by Cheadle. It's how they roll... Don't think for one second that they would hesitate to offer the role of BW to Blunt in Avengers.

Lans and Shaman. I have a feeling Jon wanted SJ all the time, but the studio wanted Blunt. Since its their money, you go with them. But, luckily schedules didnt mesh and they had to go with Jon's pick.

Sounds like the delay in announcing her is contracts. Im sure they are working out a deal similar to Sam Jackson's. Not as many movies, but I'll guess at least 3 films, IM2, Avengers and a possible sequel.

Cool, this movie should do real well...it made it seem that Rourke was researching a different role, but possibly not...

NO no no...Scarlett Johanssen is to black widow as Kirsten Dunst is to MJ...Still, Favreau is the Chris Nolan of Marvel in my opinion. So, I trust.

It is sad that emily blunt passed on black widow she would of been perfect. Just the thought of the avengers movie blows my mind, marvel cross overs is a thought we all entertain our self's with and now it may be a reality.

I still have my doubts about Rourke. I hope Jon give his best to this movie since he is directing the Avengers movie. By the way, is the HULK going to be in Iron Man 2 or in the Avengers movie. I think it would be awsome.!!!!

I don't see why he'd be in Ironman 2...a bit pointless, but of course he'd be in the Avengers movie

Scarlett Johansson "actress"actually is a clone from original person, who has nothing with acting career.Clone was created illegally using stolen biomaterial.Original Scarlett Galabekian last name is nice, CHRISTIAN young lady.

I have faith in Favreau I just hope he gives the other characters enough screen time when doing the Avengers movie. We dont want the same mistake that was made in the X-Men franchise

I don't want to say that Supermike is a ninja showing up at random times dishing crap because that would ruin ninjas, but that douche needs to cut out and stop being a fricking idiot. All he does is nay say. I bet he got beat up a lot at school.
