The third installment in the Toy Story franchise beat previous Pixar box office hits, Finding Nemo (which opened to $70.3 million in 2003) and The Incredibles (which opened to $70.5 million in 2004), to give the animation giant it's biggest ever opening weekend.

According to Box Office Mojo, as reported via IGN, Toy Story 3 managed to rake in an estimated $109 million to take the No. 1 spot in North America. The movie made another $44.8 million overseas although it's yet to be released in the UK where it will open this time next month. Overall, the take of it's global opening weekend was $153.8 million.

However, the DC Comics western Jonah Hex which stars Josh Brolin and Megan Fox completely bombed not only with the critics but financially as well. The movie was unable to even reach the studio's expectations, making a paltry $5.1 million and only reaching the #8 spot. This of course makes the chances of a sequel extremely unlikely.

Iron Man 2 meanwhile fell to ninth place but continued to make money, and almost half as much as Jonah Hex despite the fact it's been out two months, with $2.7 million making a worldwide total of $604.8 million.
