Unexpected reports earlier this month had suggested that The Town director/actor Ben Affleck was on Warner Bros's radar to helm their long-awaited Justice League big screen treatment. However, it wasn't too long before separate reports claimed that Affleck's camp had declined the studios' offer. And now, while recently chatting with the Canadian press, via 24 Hours, Ben further dismissed his involvement with the DC superhero team-up.

“I'm not working on the Justice League. One of the problems with entertainment web sites is that they need to fill pages, and that's how rumours get started. Justice League sounds really exciting, but it's not something I'm working on.”
