Concept Art For The DCEU's Parademons Reveal A More Grisly And Hellish Darkseid Army
First glimpsed in the Bruce Wayne Knightmare vision in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the Parademons will invade the Earth for real this November in Zack Snyder/Joss Whedon's Justice League.
Batman v Superman and Justice League production designer Patrick Tatopoulos has shared some early concept art of the DCEU's Parademons over on his Instagram account. Darkseid's military might is primarily constituted of these other-worldly demons whose sheer numbers are often enough to subjugate any planet who comes into conflict with Apokolips.
There's currently a theory that the different versions of the Parademons glimpsed in Dawn of Justice and the first Justice League trailer is due to the fact that Darkseid has a method to convert the populace of the world he inhabitants into his willing slaves, meaning some of the invading forces battling Batman, Wonder Woman and co. will actually be a mix of former humans and remodeled aliens that arrive via Boom Tube.
This theory stems from the Parademon's New 52 origin (written by Geoff Johns) which revealed that they're actually the corpses from the worlds invaded by Darkseid, re-purposed by Apokolips' resident mad scientist, DeSaad. Especially powerful fallen victims are known as Berserker Parademons.
Steppenwolf will lead a Parademon army agains the Amazons and the Justice League on November 17, 2017 as the fifth installment of the DC Extended Universe arrives in theaters.
