Well, that didn't take long.
After being spotted last night, on a Twitch stream, sporting his Slade Wilson hair, actor Joe Manganiello (Spider-Man; True Blood) has now been confirmed as a late addition to the ongoing reshoots for Zack Snyder's Justice League.
Collider has learned that he's returned to set to shoot new material for the HBO Max-backed miniseries, but it's uncertain whether this new footage will append the already existing post-credits sequence (which was, unfortunately, cut significantly short in the theatrical version) or whether it will be something else entirely.
With Jared Leto also shooting new material for the four-part director's cut as The Joker, it's fair to wonder whether Snyder may be expanding on the Injustice League boat scene, although there's no word yet on whether Jesse Eisenberg will be reprising his role as Lex Luthor, so that may not be the case.
As previously reported, Ben Affleck (Batman), Ray Fisher (Cyborg), and Amber Heard (Mera) have also been busy shooting new scenes, with production having started, at least, two weeks ago. The additional photography isn't expected to last too long, so it may finish up before the end of the month, but based on all of these reports and the $70 million price tag, there may actually be a lot more needed to finish this gargantuan project than fans were initially led to believe.
There are still no updates regarding Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), or Ezra Miller (The Flash); so barring any fresh developments in the coming weeks, it appears as though they will not be shooting any new material for the four-hour miniseries, which is something Cavill himself alluded to last month.
Zack Snyder's Justice League will debut as a four-episode event series on HBO Max in 2021 and will later also be available to stream - and presumably purchase - in its entirety as a full-length super-extended feature film.
