Say what you will about those damn Snyder stans, they are nothing of not persistent!

The #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement did ultimately yield the desired result when Zack Snyder's Justice League was announced, so a small minority of fans appear to be under the impression that similar campaigns may pay off... either that, or they just really enjoy pissing people off online.

Either way, more and more of these Snyder-related hashtags continue to pop up on social media, and recently-appointed DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn has now responded to the latest.

Gunn Tweeted an image of Swamp Thing (Logan director James Mangold is set to helm the planned movie), and when the first response included #SellTheSnyderVerseToNetflix, the filmmaker shared the following.

Arguably the biggest takeaway here is that Gunn has had a conversation with Snyder, possibly in relation to doing something with the shared DC Comics-based universe he was so integral to, but more likely with an eye to working on something new for the DCU.

Gunn also confirms that the DCU will have a "multiverse that’s connectable in places," so perhaps there is room for at least some of the Snyder-era characters and storylines to continue and/or connect as "Elseworlds" tales?

UPDATE: Snyder shared this follow-up Tweet.
