JUSTICE LEAGUE: A New Look At Steppenwolf - And His Axe - Has Been Revealed In Official Promo Art

Steppenwolf has been completely overhauled in Zack Snyder's Justice League, and some new promo art offers a closer look at how he'll appear in the DC Comics movie (and the axe the villain will wield).

Zack Snyder's Justice League looks set to be a vastly different experience to the version that landed in theaters back in 2017, and Steppenwolf has received a total overhaul. In fact, he's downright unrecognisable, and we've now got a closer look at the villain thanks to some new DC Shop merchandise.

As you can see, Steppenwolf has gone from looking cartoonish to a total badass, and that axe of his looks quite a bit deadlier this time around. He's also surrounded by the Mother Boxes, so those devices will clearly remain a focal point of Snyder's version of the movie (which isn't really a major surprise).

Ciaran Hinds will return to voice the villain (as far as we know, anyway) but Darkseid is also set to have a role in the proceedings this time. However, the ruler of Apokolips is only expected to appear during those flashback scenes, potentially during the Knightmare sequences, and definitely in the final battle. With any luck, Steppenwolf will be fleshed out quite a bit more this time around.

He first appeared in a deleted scene from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice when we saw him communicating with Lex Luthor, so that's definitely something this cut of Justice League can touch on and expand.

@dragon316 - Can it really be classed as unanswered questions if you know the movie was filmed back to back with another?

@dragon316 - You are probably the only person I've ever encountered, who prefers Justice League over Infinity War lol

@dragon316 -

Do you just copy and paste your old comments to any DC article? You always bring up Infinity War and Captain Marvel and that you like whatever is posted in said DC article more than it.

gives off the same vibes as those personality-less disposable 8ft dialogue-less henchmen from MoS & Infinity War & Thor.
