Vero hasn't taken off the way most people expected it to and that could explain why regular user (and possible investor) Zack Snyder continues dropping images from Justice League.
The latest puts the spotlight on Darkseid, a villain it's thought was supposed to be glimpsed on Apokolips when Steppenwolf was defeated. He then would have arrived on Earth in the sequel and presumably unleashed the apocalyptic vision Bruce Wayne had in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
While this is some sort of ancient hieroglyph featuring the villain's likeness, it definitely points to us getting a comic accurate take on Darkseid in the DC Comics adaptation - something which couldn't be said for Steppenwolf; a villain who was put through the CGI wringer and came out looking more than a little disappointing (that may be because of those reshoots, of course).
Are you disappointed that we didn't get to see Darkseid in Justice League? With a sequel now unlikely to happen, we can probably forget about seeing him for a while, unless he ends up making an appearance in Ava DuVernary's The New Gods!
