Why the JLD Film's Zatanna should be hispanic and who should Play the Character

With the casting rumors to Justice League Dark underway and with DC fan favorite Zatanna Zatara is rumored to be played by either a hispanic or african american actress, the person that WB should really focus on casting for the role of Zatanna should be hispanic and while this article will explain why, it will also present the fine list of recommended candidates for the role.

Zatanna Zatara has been very well known in the DC Comics and television shows as a caucasian brunette superheroine with the talent of using magic for both entertainment and combat and known being a love interest to some of DC's famous heroes like Batman Now if WB wants to have the character's DC Cinematic version undergo a major race change it is best recommended for them to cast a Hispanic(latin) actress to play Zatanna in the upcoming Justice League Dark film and these are the reasons why

1.Latin and Caucasian people in the world look slightly alike in certain ways

2.Having a Hispanic/Latin actress for the role of Zatanna should help keep the DCCU's version in slight resemblance to the character from the comics

3. People from WB have done just about enough African American race changes in the DC films and television shows since Batman begins and I am pretty sure that most of us by now have seen quite enough done on most major characters for a while

4 Another good reason why the people at Warner Bros should consider casting a Hispanic/Latin actress the role of Zatanna in Justice League Dark instead of an African American actress is so that the race change on the character won't be so controversial like WIll Smith's Deadshot

and now for who Warner Brothers should choose one of these fine lovely ladies to play Zatanna in Justice League Dark

Morena Bacarrin (JLAU's Black Canary, Son of Batman's Talia al Ghul and Gotham's Leslie Thompkins)

Selena Gomez

Feel free to choose who from above should be cast as Justice League Dark's Zatanna and make sure you contact Warner Brothers fast and convince them to choose from this Article on who you want them to cast as Zatanna and you better do it fast otherwise if WB chooses the wrong person, many of you are gonna end up regreting it.

This made me lol

My choices would be Gina Rodriguez, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, or Tatiana Maslany.

As a Latino. I would rather not have a Latin actress play Zatanna. Here's why: Every time someone who speaks Spanish is casted into a role that requires them to speak Spanish or play a hispanic character, they always repeat themselves. ALWAYS. They say it in Spanish and then say the exact same thing in English, wasting everyone's time and valuable plot progression time.

I'm sorry, but hell no to Michelle Rodriguez.

We need someone for Zatanna who's young, feisty and mysterious. From what I've seen of Rodriguez, she's none of that.

My choice? Zoe Kravitz. Would be absolutely perfect.

Ummmm................Alexandra Daddario is my first choice, but if they went Latin, Natalie Morales.............!!!

Why not just call this "I don't want a PoC Zatanna and this is the lesser of two evils"? That's pretty much what you said anyway.

This ^.

Zatanna's race is definitely not essential to her character. Plus her dad's name is Giovanni, meaning she probably has Italian heritage, and her mom is just known as Sindella, with a base in Turkey. No other name or no ethnicity is mentioned anywhere, so her mom could literally be whatever race they want to make her, and in the process make Zatanna latina or african-american.

And I liked the suggestion of Zoë Kravitz that someone posted earlier.

Just have Momoa get in touch with his step-daughter and we're all set.

I previously suggested Naomie Harris for JLD's Zatanna

@imkennypowers - Yes! She's a fantastically put actress, and if Snyder had to be involved in the casting, I think the would end up picking someone like Harris, which is a good thing.
