ZACK SNYDER'S JUSTICE LEAGUE: Amazing Video Highlights The Films Of Zack Snyder To Celebrate The #SnyderCut

Zack Snyder's movies aren't for everyone, but there's no denying that the filmmaker's career has been an exciting one. After helming a number of shorts, he made his big screen debut with Dawn of the Dead. That opened a lot of doors, and allowed Snyder to adapt relatively obscure comic book properties (to those unfamiliar with them, at least) like 300 and Watchmen

They were followed by a couple of original stories - Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole and Sucker Punch - before Snyder made his DC debut with a reboot of Superman: Man of Steel.

With that, the director became the man in charge of the big screen DC Universe. At Comic-Con in 2013, Snyder announced that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was in the works. It followed three years later, but a darker take on the characters wasn't to the liking of some fans and many critics, so Warner Bros. panicked and decided to try and take the DCEU in a lighter direction.

We all know what happened next, particularly in the case of Justice League.

Now, though, Zack Snyder's Justice League has finally hit HBO Max, and this awesome video - made by former CBM writer Dino Kos (a.k.a. WolvieCBM) - highlights some standout moments in the filmmaker's career. We even get a look ahead to his next movie, Netflix's Army of the Dead.

Check out the video below - it's well worth a watch!

Just saw JL. Shocked that I actually really liked it. I didn't have high hopes but it was all there. It had some hammy dialogue in places and a little too much of heroes staring into the middle distance, but other than that it was a pretty great take on the world and characters imo.

Especially Cyborg who was the biggest surprise for me. A shame the actor is a bit weird but cant fault his performance or Zack's vision for the character.

@Cass - Yes I also enjoyed it if they release it on Blu-Ray it's buy it.
Also the last scene made me laugh you could see it was filmed later. Affleck looked so weird when compared to the rest of the film.

@Cass - Yeah me too, I'm shocked! I think it was genuinely very good, II've never been a big Snyder fan, not fond of Man Of Steel, hated BvS and didn't like anything about Justice League, even the stuff Snyder was apparently responsible for but the SnyderCut was really enjoyable, I can see myself watching it again. The Amazon stuff was fantastic, it does have some problems still, some cgi, flash run, Supermans black suit for no reason and the Martian Manhunter stuff felt weird but the four hours flew by, weird Snyder seemingly can't make a film make sense under four hours but I'm very glad I watched it, it's good.

@ARMUS - haha Flash's run was something i never really noticed until i saw people commenting here and then when i watched this new version was like oh man it's true, where are his arm bones?

The black suit i thought they were just making a fashion choice, but you do see him go up and float about above earth in the sun, so im going to take that as a slim explanation of the suit being better at helping him recharge.

Personally I never felt any emotional connection to any of Snyder's films until this one, except a bit with watchmen, but that was lifted basically page for page from the graphic novel. It's a good time to turn it around.

The shot going from Batman looking at the arrows was pretty cool editing.

As for Snyder, he does know how to make something look cool (aside from the weird dancing lady in 300 I completely forgot about)

Snyder cut was good. The 2017 version seems like sabotage. They had to have tried to make it as bad as it was.

followed by a couple of original stories - Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole

The owl movie is based on a book series. Sucker Punch is still his only non-remake/non-adaptation.

I have a feeling that I'm gonna enjoy the Snyder Cut now. In fact I actually can't wait to see it this weekend.

Snyder cut was the same as the movie they released 3 years back. Just more padding and more slow motion. So much that the movie could have discarded to reduce the runtime to 2.5-3 hours.

I can see why the studio wanted a shorter version, but I don't understand why they chose to spend another shitwad of cash on reshoots instead of just using Zachariah's 2.5-3 hour cut. Unless his edit was somehow worse (wouldn't be a surprise).

Another reason could probably be to make Wonder Woman and Aquaman's characterisation more in line with the ideas they had for their solo movies.

But what do I know, I don't make amusement park movies.

Aquaman goes to the ocean in slow-motion with some music playing. Flash saves a woman and some hot-dogs in slow-motion with some music playing. Cyborg plays American football in really slow slow-motion with some music playing. Some ladies sing while one smells Aquaman's shirt. Steppenwolf is so generic and looks awful. What a boring slog JL is. I'm just gonna fast forward to the action scenes.

@Kumkani - All I will say is that the 4-episode thing really helps it not get stale.

Lots of good stuff in there though. Some cheesiness, but not as much as the previous incarnations.

@L0RDbuckethead - I've seen a few clips (honestly Snyder fans are the ones putting it out there) and the action looks really good. If anything that was what I was looking forward to.

@WakandanQueen - Yea this has me really curious now tbh because I truly dislike that film and still believe it doesn't get improved by the Ultimate cut. Dan Murrell disliked BvS too and liked the Snyder Cut so I wonder if that means I'll really like it too.

I am honestly shocked that I liked Snyder's cut as much as I did. I had no hopes for it being any kind of good or even at the theatrical's level. I will give Snyder his due, he pretty much pulled it off in my eyes, minus some questionable music choices and placements. I can't put my finger on what it is, but it really felt that he finally nailed Supes completely(which has always been a gripe for me with Snyder), even moreso than the theatrical release(which I tended to give Joss credit for anyway). All around pretty great work though.
