ZACK SNYDER'S JUSTICE LEAGUE Director Teases Martian Manhunter "Watching Over Them All"

It's no secret that Martian Manhunter was supposed to make an appearance in Zack Snyder's Justice League, and the filmmaker has now teased the character's role in his version of the DC Extended Universe...

Not too long ago, Zack Snyder shared some Justice League storyboards revealing that the meeting between Lois Lane and Martha Kent was going to culminate with the latter being revealed as Martian Manhunter. However, he then would have transformed into General Swanwick, a character we became acquainted with in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The Last Martian's role in the DC Extended Universe beyond that was unclear, but this was a significant reveal, and one which got fans even more invested in the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement (which paid off now Zack Snyder's Justice League is being released on HBO Max next year).

Yesterday, actor Harry Lennix shared his excitement for the release of the "Snyder Cut" on Twitter, and the filmmaker later followed up on Vero by indicating that Martian Manhunter is "watching over them all." That cryptic message suggests that the hero's role in the DCEU thus far has been to keep an eye on the team, and may shed some light on what Snyder had planned moving forward.

Interestingly, Lennix would later reply to a fan who shared a storyboard image of Martian Manhunter with a wink emoji, a sign that he may reprise the role for this unfilmed sequence...

ZACK SNYDER´S Martian Manhunter during the events of Man of Steel and BvS:

I think we all agree that ZACK SNYDER´S justice league will replace Sucker Punch as the best movie ever.

Watching over them, and doing nothing to help against Doomsday. Screw that guy.

@Chewtoy - Retroactively putting Martian Manhunter in this movie does his character NO favors.

@Chewtoy - I guess you forgot that he was leading the attack from the Military end as General Swanwick. Not to mention, Doomsday would have torn his @$$ apart

@KNIGHT3OOO - I remember he nuked Superman. So helpful.

@Chewtoy - Hahahaha! True, That scene was awesome... Doomsday would have totally turned Man-Hunter into ash with his Heat-blasts though

@Chewtoy - I’m sure they can retcon something in, just like they did with the Ancient One in Endgame🤔

And for his next trick, a man convinced his deluded scientology-esque nutbag fans that his movie wasn’t crap by throwing them a few fan-servicy extras. If any of you folks need help coming back to reality, just remember, BvS was released just as the man intended, and its still a big turd nugget. And worse than Justice League, somehow.

Furthermore, its ironic that this guy is so hellbent on showing people the movie ‘he wanted to make’ despite the fact that we know he changed his whole vision of a dark and moody DC verse when BvS bombed by making Justice League more like Avengers, lighter and funnier etc, long before he left and Joss cane aboard to finish it. So even this wont be the film he wanted to make. Because when he did make the films he wanted to make, they were crap. Unless you’re a self-serious Snyder fan who mistakes a bunch of half-assed religious metaphors for intelligence or depth.

I’m sorry for being so rude, I know, live and let live and all that, but... I’m just so tired of hearing about this abortion of a film long after we all endured it. Let it be, man.

@connorblaze - BVS was not released as intended either. Hence, the 30 minute extra footage in the Ultimate Cut.

@connorblaze - they’ll never learn. They can’t handle any negative valid criticism, because they know the movies were shit. Now they’re trying to Ask for Ben affleck to come back. This [frick]ing cut being released was a goddamn curse because they’re now going to go even further with their asinine requests. These are not comic book fans, they’re fans of a filmmaker who on his best day his work is mediocre.

@RokoVII - completely disagree. Pace of the film and edits coming in and out of scenes improved fully.

@IronGenesis - saying scenes improved fully is a bit of a strech.. then again to each their own
