Last week, we got official word that Zack Snyder's Justice League would be divided into six parts when it hit HBO Max on March 18, but the director has now announced that there will actually be a seventh chapter.
While speaking with Beyond the Trailer, Snyder revealed that a 20-minute epilogue titled "A Father Twice Over" will air after what was believed to be the final part, "Something Darker."
The filmmaker also addressed last night's leak (JZJL played when some HBO Max subscribers tried to watch Tom and Jerry) in the same interview, and pretty much laughed it off. He then revealed that the 4-hour director's cut of the movie will not include an intermission when viewed on the streaming service, but would have in theaters. Whether fans will get to watch the "Snyder Cut" on the big screen remains to be seen, however.
In Zack Snyder's Justice League, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes.
Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.
Zack Snyder's Justice League premieres on HBO Max on March 18th.
