JUSTICE LEAGUE: Zack Snyder Shares A Storyboard Featuring Superman's Return In The Recent Trailer

The final trailer for Justice League featured the return of Superman in a very unexpected manner and director Zack Snyder has now taken to social media to share his storyboards of that emotional sequence.

In the final, epic trailer for Justice League (which you can watch by clicking here), things kick off with Clark Kent returning to Lois Lane and acknowledging the fact she said yes to his planned marriage proposal. It's currently unclear whether or not that's a dream or a glimpse at what happens once Superman returns from the dead and visits Lois for the first time. We'll find out this November!

In the meantime, Zack Snyder has taken to Vero to share a storyboard of that scene. It doesn't answer the question of whether or not this is really happening but is a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes. It plays out pretty much identically aside from the fact that in the trailer, Clark says "I'll take that as a yes" as opposed to "That's a yes." This also confirms the scene was shot by Snyder, not Joss Whedon.

What do you guys think of this storyboard and the possibility of this being a resurrected Superman rather than just a dream? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

@MonsieurClunge - Teehee!
Maybe there will be a new children's book for Christmas, 'Where's Whedon'. You have to spot the scene he shot.....I'm sure there's a drinking game in there somewhere.

There's hope, he can still come back to that comment, we'll see...

@Doomsday8888 - LMAO no worries, he is my failed apprentice (he changed his screen name to mimic mine).

I'm glad you screenshot that comment because thats exactly who I was thinking of when I posted this 😂🤣

@Doomsday8888 - Oh, I'm here and I'm not backpedaling. It felt like a Whedons scene but if it was Snyder, then props to him from learning from his past flaws.
Also, if you bothered to read more of my comments, you'd have seen one that said 'if it comes out that scene was by Snyder, I'll levy the same praise on him as well' which i did.

You guys keep thinking that everyone out there wants to hate these films when in reality, it is the films themselves that need to improve

@MonsieurClunge - It's either creepy or flattering that you give so much weight to what I say. Means I'm in your head. I like it.

Yes i read that, and that's why i was expecting something from you, but that never came.
We disagree a lot, but in my mind, you're not exactly a troll, biased? Maybe, but i'm glad you can be reasonable at least! :)

But don't make this mistake, some people REALLY hate all this.

They want to hate Snyder, but the heart doesn't lie, they DO like this scene they wasted no time giving credit to Whedon, and the fact that it was made by Snyder must be quite painful for them cause, unintentionally, they showed some love to Snyder...

It's quite funny actually, but also very sad tbh...

@Doomsday8888 - Oh, I'm definitely biased...mostly because Superman is my favourite superhero and I truly hate what DC has done with him thus far.

@MonsieurClunge - I don't stalk battabing. He comments on the same threads I visit and every single time, without fail, he trolls the MCU. So I merely call him out on it.

Yeah you kinda mention that a lot, what can i say, i feel like I'M the biggest Superman fan ever, does that change anything tho?
Turns out, we're just 2 different people that like one thing but still have different opinions, very...ordinary... :P

Ragnarocknroll - 10/9/2017, 5:42 AM
@Doomsday8888 - I mention it a lot because of I don't, then automatically I'm labeled a troll who hates DC regardless of the films. I mention it also because it hurts me on a level that only somebody who grew up loving the character as I did could understand. Superman and what he's stood for has constantly inspired me in life. That's not even close to the Superman I'm seeing in the DCEU. Also, after watching only the DCEU versions, all my friends ridicule Superman, thinking he's as lame as the DCEU films portray him as and no matter how hard I defend the character by referring them to the comics, they still ridicule the character. That sort of negative mentality for the character came because of MoS and BvS and I hate both of them for it.

@MonsieurCringe -
Well i'm sorry for that, but i could not disagree more, especially when it comes to MOS.
Although now i understand why you'd say that, but still...sometimes it makes you feel like...i dunno, like you're "trying to put some weight" to your words by claiming that you're a Superman fan.
Because that changes nothing.
I am a big Superman fan, been that my whole life, and i love Henry's Superman, meaning that even if we are Superman fans, we could still have different opinions.
And i've been always ok with that. :)
Personally i hope that, since i don't think you're a troll, but someone who wishes to like these movies and Superman, that you'd start to...i dunno be more open minded i guess?
You know, after this example in the trailer.

The again, this is (probably) Snyder's last DC movie, so even if you'd rather give the credit to Whedon...i mean whatever man...

I dunno who will direct MOS 2, Vaughn? Somebody else?
I wonder what will happen on this site then, cause the "Snyder excuse" won't last forever, and haters would need to come up with something else.

And yes, i'm also curious to see your reaction as well!

Although i think...i've already came to the conclusion that there is no place for DC here, not anymore, even if a movie such as TDK came out today instead of 2008, pretty sure it would be downplayed as usual.
Granted, not from anybody, but still...

Ragnarocknroll - 10/9/2017, 7:03 AM
@Doomsday8888 - Theres no 'Snyder Excuse'
If Mathew Vaughn's version of Superman is good, then people will praise it. If not, they'll hate it, it's pretty simple. Look at Wonder Woman. The movie was fine but the character was perfect and people praised it.

@MonsieurCringe - What Snyder is doing, in effect, is to say to the world "I can do a scene where the sun is shining and people smile."

I kinda figured that was a Snyder scene watching the trailer. It felt more like something he would do than something Whedon would do.

Lol that's so adorable! Look at the little faces.

Has Joss ever been sentimental and emotional? That's always been Zack's style.

It looks like a beautiful scene tbh.

I don't get why everyone cares who directed this scene, there's nothing special about it? Man of Steel and BvS were both filled with beautiful shots like this, but they never meant anything because there was an empty feel to them, because the characters and story populating them were average and the writing was god awful, and there was an air of faked prestige to them. Like a pretentious person with a beautiful, fancy house filled with cheap art. Doesn't matter how fancy the house is, the art shows that they're faking and don't know shit.

Lois and Clark's relationship had no chemistry or romance. Superman's death was forced, unearned and unemotional. And we all knew he was coming back the minute he died.

So how does Clark reuniting with her in a sunlit cornfield inspire any emotion or sense of beauty?

If you want a poignant, emotional, beautifully shot scene, look to the final scene between Ultron and Vision in AOU.
Kumkani
Kumkani - 10/9/2017, 2:30 AM
@connorblaze - True. Zack's scenes are usually like that. So this is basic confirmation that he shot it anyway.

I still like it though. It's nice
