We knew it was coming soon, but we didn't know it was coming this soon. 

In a surprise announcement, Netflix has confirmed that The Cloverfield Paradox will be available to stream tonight right after Super Bowl LII. 

Julius Onah directs with a script from Oren Uziel and Doug Jung. The cast features Daniel Brühl, Elizabeth Debicki, Aksel Hennie, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Chris O'Dowd, John Ortiz, David Oyelowo, Zhang Ziyi, and Donal Logue.

@Oskir - this movie if for all those people that don’t like movies showing too many tv spots before release. I think this is a record for advertisement by a movie. I am excited and cannot wait to watch this tonight.

Wow! It's kinda cool that we got nothing but rumors of delays to production and release dates being pushed back and then BOOM! The trailer hits and It's ready to go tonight. That's awesome!

Shame that it seems to be a prequel... was hoping for a proper sequel. Though seeing the backstory of everything should be interesting. Insane that it manages to release instantly, Netflix really is the way to go instead of cinemas.

@Chewtoy - I think they did it the same way they made 10 Cloverfield Lane. They take an original script and tie it together to the Cloverfield universe to capitalize on the name brand. Pretty smart and interesting to be honest

@Bokis - Exactly how is 10 Cloverfield Lane in any way related to Cloverfield other than having Cloverfield in it's name? They are trying REALLY hard to make a connection that doesn't exist.
