As a kid I was a huge Godzilla fan. Biggest issue with all the new movies is the monster's are GIGANTIC take them out of the movie. Lose the human story story and interaction with the people like they don't even exist in the movie.

@TheJustinHammer - I thought Kong: Skull Island handled that along with the monster action way better than either of the Godzilla flicks.

@TheJustinHammer - This is probably unrelated, but a thing I noticed re-watching Kong: Skull Island again is how King Kong himself doesn't really get involved with the plot that much except in the prologue, the end of the first half that becomes the major inciting incident that leaves the human characters left wandering around the island and the third act.

Whenever we see him, we just see him minding his own business from cleaning himself in the water after his encounter with the humans and noticing his injury, fighting octopus-creature and then eating it in the very same scene, protecting the other animals of the island, watching northern light equivalents at night.

We get to see a lot more of King Kong as a character more than we did with Godzilla in either of his flicks. There were moments with him that were cool or I felt genuinely bad for him (especially during the finale of the 2014 flick), but we don't see how he minds his own business before the plot comes around. Maybe he notices the people following him and tries to bugger off in order to survive or something.

Am not dying to see this, cuz I already saw a very similar version of it. It has a rapidly growing king Kong and everything

@JustALurker - I don't know about that. I have enjoyed all 3 Monsterverse movies so far so will most likely end up enjoying GvK also. Heard the runtime is shorter (around Skull Island runtime) which means a tighter movie and less fooling around

If the leaks are anything to go by,this movie will have more monster action than King of the Monsters. Especially the final act (which is rumored to have 3 fights alone, without counting the rest of the movie)

I'm hoping theirs less humans & more monsters interacting/fighting this time around.
I liked King of the Monsters, but my main gripe was that you'd see a monster battle going on for like 20 seconds to then quickly get cut off by the main humans "saving the world"- and to top it off, they film some monster v monster fights way too upclose that you dont know what the hell is going on lol.
