Godzilla: King of the Monsters definitely had its share of problems, but there's no denying how lovely it was to look at, with stunningly realized Titans throwing down in various eye-catching locations.

Now, director Mike Dougherty has taken to Twitter to share a huge batch of concept art for the recent sequel, spotlighting Godzilla, Rodan, King Ghidorah, Mothra, and some of the different places the legendary behemoths do battle in.

GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS Review - There's Fun To Be Had When Titans Clash, But The Rest Falls Flat

For the most part, the creature designs look very close to what we ended up seeing on screen, although Ghidorah does look a bit more like a classic Japanese ryū in a couple of the images.

Wow, talk about a movie that came and went. It was actually pretty decent. Didn't love it, but the actual monsters fighting was plentiful and beautiful.

But yeah, this basically bombed in the box office, which is surprising, since the international market would eat it up.

This movie is great, I loved it, and I bought the art book. Monsters were amazing, human story worked actually and parts of the family conflict hooked me.

Watched it last night. Visuals were great, no star action was great, human characters were awful and Billy Bob or whatever her name is was the worst. Bring on kong.

LOVED IT!! It's not perfect, wasted the O2 destroyer and atomic Godzilla, the human story ranges from meh to bad (it just takes up too much time to be anything short of good). But the monster design, scale and fighting spectacle is anything and everything you would want from this type of film. And the soundtrack is just glorious!! It pumps you up real good.

Where do the humans keep getting jets and pilots to scramble?! It feels like their whole fleet goes down during every clash. 😂
Why aren't Watanabe (MVP of the movie) and the Mothra twins the stars of this franchise?! They're easily the best of the human cast.

@8thDoctor - I was about to write a joke about how Watanabe and the twins aren't the stars because this is 'Murican Godzilla, but then realized how easy it would be for people to misinterpret it and think I'm some MAGA jackass.

@KingCipher - My brother had to point out to me that the sisters were the Mothra fairies, the movie spent so little time on them that I didn't even notice.

1 more movie in this franchise until the dream ends. 😭😭 I have really freaking liked all 3 of the movies released so far and it will be a darn shame to see it go.

We are in a Godzilla renaissance lately! From Godzilla 2014 (perfectly fine start), Shin Godzilla (a masterpiece!), the animated trilogy (I liked it OK!), Godzilla 2 (Love it) it's been a pretty great 5 years to be a fan.

I know many didn’t love it but I personally really liked it. The human subplot was much better than the first and the Kailua fights were incredible. I actually like that in some ways it plays like a nature documentary with Kaiju and can’t wait for Kong Vs Godzilla though I fear for the franchise after that

Less human bs and more Titans next time. Especially Mothra, I loved her (or what little there was of her) in this film.
