Pacific Rim 2 was scheduled to begin filming this November in Toronto. However, a new report by Latino-Review, indicates that the film will be delayed for reasons unknown. The Pacific Rim sequel went under the working title “Maelstrom,” and was set to hit theaters August 4, 2017. With this delay, that release date is most likely subjected to change to a later date. How long? Who knows? At this point, it could possibly be pushed back to 2018, when Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla sequel hits! Maybe even further back! This news definitely isn’t pleasant for the fans of the franchise, but look at it this way, if the Pacific Rim sequel goes the “way of the western”; we still have an awesome Godzilla vs. King Kong movie waiting!

We’ll keep you updated for any possible changes regarding this story! For now, explain your take on all this in the comment section below!
