MOONFALL: Roland Emmerich's Latest Disaster-Piece Gets A Suitably Preposterous New Trailer

There doesn't seem to be any middle ground when it comes to Roland Emmerich. Whether you roll your eyes at the very thought of sitting through the director's latest disaster-piece or rejoice at the prospect of more relentless big-screen destruction, a new trailer for Moonfall is now online, and it's... definitely a Roland Emmerich movie!

This latest teaser is full of the planet-levelling mayhem and melodrama we've come to expect from the director of The Day After Tomorrow and Independence Day, and confirms that some kind of Extraterrestrial threat is responsible for the moon's bizarre behaviour.

Patrick Wilson (Aquaman) plays a disgraced former NASA astronaut whose last mission, which ended in tragedy, holds a clue about the impending catastrophe. Halle Berry (John Wick Chapter 3) is playing an astronaut-turned-NASA administrator who is a former colleague of Wilson's character. Together with the likes of Charlie Plummer (Boardwalk Empire), John Bradley (Game of Thrones), and Donald Sutherland (The Hunger Games), they must race against time to stop a potential sixth extinction event.

“With mere weeks before impact and the world on the brink of annihilation, NASA executive and former astronaut Jo Fowler (Academy Award winner Halle Berry) is convinced she has the key to saving us all – but only one astronaut from her past, Brian Harper (Patrick Wilson) and a conspiracy theorist K.C. Houseman (John Bradley), believe her. These unlikely heroes will mount an impossible last-ditch mission into space, leaving behind everyone they love, only to find out that our Moon is not what we think it is.”

Moonfall is set to hit theaters on February 4, 2022.

Dude makes the DUMBEST movies ever, yet they keep giving him money. This guy has to have dirt on everyone in Hollowood.

Give my man Neil Breen some of that dough! I'd love to see what he could do with a $150 million dollar budget!

@Feralwookiee - I think I'm part of the problem, because this is definitely the type of movie I'm first in line for.

It's gonna be so, so dumb. Exactly my level of enjoyment

@bkmeijer - I get it. I like a lot of so bad it's good stuff, but RE's movies are just PAINFULLY dumb to me.

When the dog outran the huge fireball in Independence Day, I nearly shit myself laughing. So, so stupid. So, I can see the "entertainment" value in it. Dude just makes Sharknado level films with a bigger budget. Lol

@Feralwookiee - exactly. It's also kinda comparable with Michael Bay in my opinion. Both are obsessed with destruction, but they do it with such memorable action set pieces (no matter how bad) that I still find it entertaining

Guys films like these are propaganda designed to make you fear extraterrestrials.
Please watch UNACKNOWLEDGED . The next great false flag event from the military industrial complex is coming and its what von brown said on his death bed...the final card...the extraterrestrial threat.

@kingpin - I have every right to fear aliens. Yeah they're probably just micro-organisms living near hydrothermal vents on ice planets, but I'm sure they can bring along some nasty diseases/viruses
