Hideo Kojima And Kevin Smith's STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Roles Revealed

Did you know Kevin Smith and video game creator Hideo Kojima had contributions to J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens? Read on to find out how these two made it into the film.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens may be winding down at the box office but new secrets and details are continuing to emerge, seemingly every day.  The latest news to emerge is that J.J. Abrams snuck a sneaky reference to Hideo Kojima into the film.  During the opening confrontation between Poe Dameron and  Kylo Ren & The First Order on  Jakku, the sand alien who watches BB-8 escape into the desert shouts Kojima.  This shout-out to Kojima seems to be a result of J.J. Abrams and Kojima meeting a few months back to discuss the latter's new video game company and presumably the possibility of a collaboration with Abrams' Bad Robot.

As for Kevin Smith, it turns out that he actually had lines in the film (along with Sam Witwer, Dee Bradley Baker and Matthew Wood among other noticeable surprises).  Remember the stormtroopers who assault Maz Canata's castle on Takodana?  Smith's lone line, "We have incoming at 28.6! Move!"

And for bonus Star Wars: The Force Awakens bar trivia, here's what the original Darth Vader mask looks like.    Actor David Prowse, who physically played Vader in the original trilogy (remember, James Earl Jones only supplied the voice) took to Facebook to reveal what Vader's mask looks like three decades after Return of the Jedi.

I still can't get over Simon Pegg being Unkar Plutt. I absolutely HATED the idea of star trek actors in the film. I can't recognize Pegg visually or audibly. How did he muster that voice??? Pretty awesome.

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS is the bizness: $1,948,345,219

@HubbleFunk - It's made of fiberglass, so that's what all the "fur" is. I'm guessing that's the mask used in the pyre at the end of Jedi. Either that or it has literally been sitting outside for 30 years.

That has to be the mask from the funeral pyre.

@ glades7

There are hourly box office updates, higher res pictures, polls, and similar crap articles posted by the likes of Josh (McLovin) and others "editors" so they can get $$$ for you clicking on it! Plain and simple!

99.99999% of the articles posted on here are plagiarized, edited, and regurgitated here from other media sources. This site is what it is!

If you wanted to make your opinion known about how meh SWTFA was you would probably be better off not picking fights in the process. Just sayin.
