SPIDER-MAN 3 Is Officially SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME; Check Out The Spectacular Title Reveal Video

After some serious trolling, it's finally been confirmed that Spider-Man 3 will be titled Spider-Man: No Way Home, and you guys can check out the amazing announcement video/title reveal right here...

The official title for Spider-Man 3 is finally here, and yes, it's actually called Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Over the past 24 hours, speculation has been running rampant, with this being one of many rumoured possibilities to do the rounds on social media. Now, though, it's officially official!

What does the title tell us about the Marvel Studios/Sony Pictures threequel? Well, it can be interpreted in a number of ways; after being framed for the murder of Mysterio and that attack on London, you could definitely argue that there's "no way home" for the potentially fugitive Peter Parker. At the same time, this could easily refer to the wall-crawler being lost in the Multiverse.

Whatever the case may be, the video below is well worth a watch, especially as it features a whiteboard with some rejected title ideas. There's also a lot of what looks like yellow electricity, a nod, we suspect, to Jamie Foxx returning as Electro in the highly anticipated, extremely mysterious Far From Home follow-up.

So, Spider-Man: No Way Home it is! Marvel Studios has certainly kept us all guessing, and it seems the "Home" sub-titles are here to stay. Will Spidey stick around in the Marvel Cinematic Universe or is he going to find himself a permanent addition to the SPUMC? We'll have to wait and see.

What are your thoughts on Spider-Man: No Way Home?

I liked Homesick and it was my guess weeks ago, but I assume it might have been a bit generic.

@Menks123 - I would've preferred "Home is where you make it" but...

Better than Far From Home

@DannRamm113 - I REALLY dont get the "home" theme for these titles. None of the three sound good or are relevant to the actual plot.

@Razorface1 - the first one made sense on a meta level bc the character kinda came back to marvel

@ReverseFlasher - So when you're from New York but currently in Europe you wouldn't consider that being "far from home"?
Razorface1
Razorface1 - 2/24/2021, 10:32 AM
@ReverseFlasher - Yeah, on a meta level. It still made no sense outside of that.

@Razorface1 - The Homecoming dance was a plot point in the movie.

@Razorface1 - A major plot point was him literally going to a homecoming dance

@BloopBlorp2 @MARVELFAN1995 - That was nowhere near important to the plot.

@Razorface1 - WTF are you talking about? The Vulture literally drives Spider-Man to his homecoming. The movie takes place AROUND Homecoming.

Far From Home just sort of made it unnecessarily obligatory, could've been called SM: International or something, but Homecoming was quite aptly named. It told you 2 things - 1. Spider-Man's back with Marvel. 2. It takes place in High School during Homecoming.

Considering the MCU trilogy has been all about taking more time to explore teenage Peter, it makes sense.

Sony/Marvel 2017: “Hey guys, we’re calling it Homecoming because Spider-man is in high school, and there’s a homecoming dance in it. Also it’s a double entendre because Spider-man is finally home with Marvel Studios.”

Sony/Marvel 2019: “Hey, we could’ve given it a better title without ‘Home’ in it, but you know what, it’s a cute tradition.”

Sony/Marvel 2021: “Why the hell did we paint ourselves into a corner with this ‘Home’ thing?”
Razorface1
Razorface1 - 2/24/2021, 10:12 AM
@santoanderson - Agreed. All three of them sound terrible.
