Will You See Or Hear The Live-Action Spider-Men In SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE? SPOILERS Follow!

Rumours have swirled about plans for Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield to appear in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, but should you expect to see or hear them in the movie? Here's the answer!

There was no sign of Tom Holland's Spider-Man in 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, though we've since heard the actor very nearly had a voice cameo in the movie (though not as Peter Parker).

At the time, the chances of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield lending their voices to wall-crawling Variants seemed unlikely, though both actors later reprised their respective live-action roles in Spider-Man: No Way Home. It's hardly a surprise then that there's been so much talk about the trio being part of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

So, does the trio make a cameo appearance alongside the likes of PlayStation's Spider-Man and The Spectacular Spider-Man? Truth be told, it's complicated...

Is Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse?

Yes and no. The actor hasn't recorded any new dialogue for the movie and his Spider-Man never appears. We do, however, see Peter mourning Uncle Ben after his death in the 2002 movie while Miguel O'Hara is explaining how losing someone they love is just part of being Spider-Man.

Is Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse?

Again, we're going with "yes and no" because Garfield's web-slinger only appears via archival footage from The Amazing Spider-Man. He's shown mourning the fallen Captain George Stacy but also doesn't lend his voice to this movie as an animated version of his Spidey.

Is Tom Holland in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

This is a much easier question to answer: no. Despite being the current Spider-Man, there's not even a shot of Holland in those flashbacks to key moments in the lives of the web-slinging heroes, though the actor has long been absent from Sony's Marvel movies due to his place in the MCU. Still, this feels like a missed opportunity.

In fact, the closest we come to an MCU nod is when a silhouette of Doctor Octopus says the "Hello, Peter" line from Spider-Man: No Way Home (in what's a blatant recycling of Alfred Molina's line from the movie). Perhaps these cameos are being saved for 2024's Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse?

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is now playing in theaters.

Holland gets a subtle mention but it feels obvious that BEYOND will have one, if not all live action spider-men.

Spider-Man 4: team up with Daredevil. Fights Kingpin, Maggia, Tombstone, and Hammerhead. Symbiote attaches itself to Peter at the very end or post credit scene.

Avengers Secret Wars: black suit Spider-Man fights with the Avengers.

Spider-Man 5: symbiote comes off Peter and then grows into Venom. This version of Venom is without Eddie so it has no direction but to eat and kill. It mimics Spider-Man and puts the white spider on its chest. Introduce Miles Morales working for FEAST and he becomes friends with Peter. Peter defeats Venom with hep from Miles.

Spider-Man 6: Alistair Smythe and the Jackal steal DNA from Spidey and Venom fight and creates clones of Peter. Clone saga essentially. Ben Reilly aka Scarlet Spider is created and answers to Smythe and Jackal. Miles accidentally gets his powers from the clone facility. Peter trains Miles throughout the movie while investigating this rogue Scarlet Spider. Scarlet, Peter and Miles come together at the end and fights deformed versions of Spider-Man and Smythe and Jackal. Scarlet dies and Peter loses his powers somehow and Miles takes over as the new Spider-Man while Peter goes to live a normal life.

Then we get a new 6 movie saga with Miles Morales as the new Spider-Man in the MCU.

Nitpick, and maybe spoilers

No captain died in the tobey universe. Saying that it happened off cam somewhat undermines the importance of such event

Too many Spider-people.
Too many variants.
Too many symbiotes.
Too much multiverse.

This muddled crap is getting beyond oversaturated & tedious.

Just go with the Hollywood obvious mandate and get live action Miles Morales in the MCU.

Then get to the FF & X-Men to make the MCU something great as it once was.

I consider this the first CGI animation movie that had me at the edge of my seat...this new age animation was as intense as an actual live motion movie...that Prowler and Miles scene though...

@incredibleTalk - As amazing as all the animation was, it was the soundtrack that stole the show for me honestly. From intense, edge of your seat beats to dramatic, melancholy strings, it had me constantly gribbed!

Cameos and easter eggs have really messed up the CBM community. It's as if they're more important to a film than the actual plot and characters.

"Oh it was a fantastic film, but where's Daredevil? Where's Wolverine? Where are the mutants? Where is the Baxter Building? Where is...."

Viewers don't go to watch the actual film anymore. They just show up hoping to see cameos.

In Spider-Man news I am following up on the A.J. Benza report on the Dr. Drew show that Jamie Foxx suffered a major stroke from the dangerous Covid "vaccine".

It is now being reported that he received a blood clot in the brain which left him paralyzed and blind.

Clearly he is not doing well otherwise we would see photos or video of him.
If he is good enough to play Pickleball as they claim, then show it.

The reports are that he is unable to speak and is not doing well at all.

He was forced to get the "vaccine" to continue working on his latest movie which many believe is why he fired four people who involved in that decision.

@TyrantBossMedia - Your source is AJ Benza, dude.

You know… that super-reliable dude who helped Harvey Weinstein cover up his horrible behavior, and is generally regarded as attention-seeking f-list, at best.

Cool.

@Rpendo - Also A.J. Benza who was a reporter for the New York Daily News....and he's not the only one reporting it "dude".

If Jamie Foxx is well enough to play pickle ball.......then show us. Why have we not seen or heard from Foxx the entire time?

I'll wait.

So Spider-Man No Way Home, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, and now Spider-Man Across the Spiderverse are canon! This is wild!

These dimensional designations are a mess. Disney is trying to say the MCU is 616, and it isn't. Sony Easter eggs it as 199999, but then tries to say their animated-verse is 1610 and that isn't right either.

Anyway, was a fan of the movie up until the cliffhanger ending. I get it, they want to tell a longer story and only had a finite amount of time so they split it into two movies and blah blah blah but it just left me unsatisfied. Spider-Dad (And MayDay's little spider-beanie) and Spider-Punk all day erryday, but I still feel Rocket's backstory alone puts GotG3 ahead for the year.

But keep whining about superhero cartoons in public, dude. It’s a great look and doesn’t make you come off as a spoiled child at all.
