First it was apparently 16-year old Mateus Ward who Marvel were considering for the role of Peter Parker, A.K.A, Spider-Man. Now, this certainly should be taken with a grain of salt, but Latino Review has just reported that Hugo actor Asa Butterfield may be on the 'list' of candidates as well. Butterfield himself has expressed an interest in playing Spidey on Reddit , so perhaps it could happen after all? This would also reaffirm that Marvel is looking to cast a relatively young actor for the long haul. If one thing's for sure, as production for Captain America: Civil War ramps up, it won't be long until we find out more about who'll be playing the famous web-slinger.
