Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse is undoubtedly a tremendous animated picture, bolstered by the several callbacks, and featured cameos that every Spider-Man fan was able to smile and chuckle through.
There were even live-action cameos integrated within the film, and although that footage was clearly archived from the previous couple of Spider-Man films, seeing those live-actions Spidey's again utilized in such an impactful way to showcase canon events was nicely executed, and even emotional.
Technically, the film showed two cameos of Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man, with each of the two being live-action, which was shown in the archived footage, and an animated cameo, which many of you missed:
This was an early suit concept for the original Spider-Man film starring Tobey Maguire, and now, years later, it had made its way into Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse, when Miles and friends enter the Spider Society.
The only other time this was suit was ever showcased had been in live-action, but only for a promotional trailer of the first Spider-Man years ago, to get fans excited for the film.
