WISHLIST: Tell Us What You Want From THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 3

Marc Webb's TASM 2 did not go down too well with most fans or critics, and now the threequel has been pushed back to 2018. Still, word is Sony want Webb to complete his trilogy and no reboot is planned. Can this franchise be salvaged? Let us know what you want to see from it after the jump.

Feature Opinion

After a pretty tepid response to their Amazing Spider-Man sequel, Sony have pushed the third film back to an undisclosed date in 2018 to consider their options and focus on spin-off movies instead. Although this news led many to believe that we must be in for another reboot, word is that although the studio plan to "freshen the brand", no major overhaul is on the cards. We know that Marc Webb is still expected to direct, and Andrew Garfield is under contract to return as Peter Parker -- short of that, everything is pretty much up in the air.

Now obviously 2018 is a long time away, and who knows how Sony's Spidey-verse will be looking after the likes of The Sinister Six and Venom movies; but we want to know what you'd like to see from The Amazing Spider-Man 3. Which new heroes and villains (if any), who you'd like to play them, if they should go with a subtitle this time, what comic arcs you'd like to see the writers draw from etc -- basically anything and everything you can think of. We'll choose the most popular/interesting choices and put another article together next week highlighting your best ideas. So what are you waiting for..get those thinking caps on!

I would like Marvel to make it and have him join the Avengers. He could use the guidance. His negligence keeps getting people killed.

Well, really, what Spidey needs to cement his status as an American Super-Hero icon, is to show he'll stop at nothing to vanquish the villain. To be taken SERIOUSLY . . . he needs to kill the Green Goblin.
Nuff said.

No love story. Seriously, it's been five frickin movies revolving around Peter's relationship problems with replaceable skinny white girls. Let him have a movie where he has other problems.

Oh, and Kraven the Hunter! Only Kraven. No other villians

My one and only wish for Spider-Man movies in general is to have a movie that follows the Eddie Brock as Venom story arc. I don't care how they change up the mythos to get to that point, Oscorp connections or no, I just want to see Eddie Brock's Venom become a major villain for one film or a recurring villain in the franchise.

Yeah but we know the rights aren't reverting and we know it won't be a reboot..so considering we're stuck with it, tell us what you wanna see! There must be ways it can be improved upon.

Wish list:
1. New writers; Webb has a great vision for the character, and with the right script he could work wonders.
2. Symbiote; let Peter have it for a full film before losing it, don't introduce Venom until the next film.
3. A duo-team of villains who need Spider-Man for different reasons, but their plans coincide and work out (Doc Ock + Vulture?)
4. Over-arching story for an entire trilogy.
5. A new subtitle or header: Sensational, Spectacular, Avenging, Web of...
6. A father-like relation to Norman Osborn, making their alter-ego encounters much more menacing.

1) Kraven
2) Mysterio
3) Scorpion
4) Tombstone

and a Black Cat role in any of the above!
And under NO circumstances, that piece of trash redundancy . . . Carnage!

I also think if they can use Kingpin and focus on a non-powered foe, that could be really interesting. Spiderman could be challenged more mentally or emotionally and could yield a strong story rather than only a CGI fest.

Since that is a longshot, using Carnage or Mysterio has the potential to have some unique, different villains from what we've seen in other comic films. I know that for the purpose of general audience viewing, Carnage is arguably similar to Venom, I'd rather just move on and see something different than another rehash of an already done villain.

Maybe they could introduce time travel and negate the previous 2 movies. DOFP did it and everyone loves that.
