When the rumors first hit that Margot Robbie was in talks to join the cast of Fury director David Ayer's Suicide Squad, fans immediately hoped that she might be up for the role of a very late addition to the team's ranks in the comics, Harley Quinn. As much as the gorgeous The Wolf Of Wall Street actress seemed a perfect for the character, many felt it was wishful thinking without the involvement of the Joker -- but then the news broke that Jared Leto was in line to play that very character, and that was followed by a report from Collider that Robbie had officially joined the cast of the film as none other than Harley Quinn. Though that's yet to be officially confirmed, excited fans have been pumping out the artwork and here we have a fine example of how the actress could appear as the popular DC villain.

Man she looks perfect for Harley. I haven't seen too much of her acting but hoping she can pull it off. This movie has so much potential. Jared Leto as Joker. I doubt he'll be a member of the squad, but maybe early in the film we can see a little of Harley's origin. They could do a cool Silence of the Lambs type scene with Harley interviewing/treating Joker from his cell. Him playing mind games with her, getting in her head. That scene could be money. Leading to Leto's Joker playing a role in The Batman down the road. Although when word 1st broke of The Batman (or whatever the title ends up being) I was hoping to see Hush as the Villian. We need Hush on the big screen!

Ugh. Here i thought this was a Suicide Squad movie. Now it's Harley and friends.

Bullshit. Deadshot should have been prioritized. Unlike harley quinn Deadshot has always been a Suicide Squad mainstay

Harley Quinn, Joker they seem to be casting the ones first who don't even deserve to be in this movie. If anything, Deadshot and Harkness should have been cast first

@LP4 To be honest we don't know who has been cast and who hasn't yet... none of it has been confirmed. For all we know Deadshot was already cast (I believe Jon Bernthal is rumored) so I don't know why you're so upset...

@LP4 Harley is where they are going to make their money. I have non CBM fans who will line up for a Harley Quinn movie, but don't know and don't care who Deadshot is.

@Launchpad: it's true. I don't read DC comics (haven't read Marvel comics for years either) but I love Harley from B:TAS So this at least gets my attention. Deadshot is meaningless to me.

Really though, they need some "name" villains on the team to sell the concept, since they're doing this film before any villains have a chance to appear in other films.

One of my friends said he despises the way Harley Quinn is depicted in the comics....he doesn't want her to be sexualized at all in the Suicide Squad movie. He finds it weird and pedo-ish because Harley is so childish. Does anybody else feel this way? I think that's extremely odd, they're not hiring Margot Robbie for her intense acting skills, I'll tell you that much. It's because she's delicious

Wow way to be a smarmy prick as always. I'm looking forward to this film BUT Deadshot really should have been cast by now. Why the focus is on Joker and Harley is beyond me. Anyway this has been my most anticipated cbm since it was first mentioned back in 2011. I want it to be good but Harley being such a NEW member should get less priority than Deadshot.
