Rocksteady's Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League video game was officially announced during last year's DC FanDome, and following a few cinematic teasers, we finally have a look at some gameplay footage courtesy of a new trailer that debuted during tonight's Game Awards.

We knew Task Force X would have more than just a mind-controlled Superman to contend with, and here we see Harley Quinn, King Shark, Deadshot and Captain Boomerang doing their best to take down the Fastest Man Alive.

Like the rest of the League, The Flash is being manipulated by Brainiac, and despite Boomerang's dismissive taunts in the hilarious opening scene, he's clearly going to be pose a big problem for the team - especially with Amanda Waller threatening to kill them all if they fail to get the job done.

The gameplay looks about as chaotic and exciting as you'd expect, so be sure to take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think.

Developed by Rocksteady Studios, creators of the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham series, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will combine the studio’s signature character-driven story gameplay with third-person shooter action to deliver a gaming experience unlike any other. Set in the richly detailed open-world Metropolis, the game’s original narrative follows the four Suicide Squad members as they take on an impossible mission to save Earth and kill the World’s Greatest DC Super Heroes.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be available worldwide in 2022 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

@Tonic24k - since the Arkham games, i need more videogames that arent Batman related, a good Alan wake inspired question Game might come in handy

@Tonic24k - Judging by this Gotham Knights I’m gonna go ahead and disagree. Wonder Woman I have hope for though

@Ha1frican - This was really meant to say, DC has a good handle on the quality of their video games. The Arkham series obviously being the archetype. Whereas, Marvel is still finding their footing. GotG has been far better received than Avengers, but they still don't have an "Arkham" of their own yet.

Btw, did you mean Gotham Knights or Suicide Squad? ("Judging by 'this'...")

... Why didn't they give us a game that we could play AS the Justice League? I'll pass.

This game doesn't look too good. But Rocksteady studios has made 3 awesome DC games in the past, so maybe it will be good.

Damn i was hating on them for only showing cinematics for so long but this trailer was great and definitely makes the game look like an awesome ride!

I’m clearly in the minority but as someone who platinumed every Arkham game this looks bad to me. Looks like a generic games as service third person shooter with nice graphics. Very disappointed they went this route instead of doing something close to the Batman series. Gives me Crystal Dynamics making Avengers vibes and we all know how that went

Looks fun, but maybe it was the chaotic cuts but it didn't look like there was a lot of variety to the characters. Everyone seems to have a jetpack flying long range gunning mode, a close quarters bludgeoning mode and a Speedster Mode.

This looks bad imo. Kinda generic looking and kinda stupid the way everyone seems invincible.

@JustAChillFan - I wouldn't say bad, but it reminds me a lot of Injustice 2. Only gameplay looks different, and I'm not sold yet on the fast gameplay

Also, this is making it feel like Flash is the only villain
